News: BIP91 seems stable: there's probably only slightly increased risk of confirmations disappearing. You should still prepare for Aug 1.

It would be cool if the tokens allowed you to take place in profit sharing from the house winnings; maybe pay out a share as a dividend, that would be interesting.

That's exactly what the token does!  Smiley

Unless I have misunderstood your post.

In the early days of Bitcoin it was all Satoshi Dice. That game did over 90% of all transactions on the network. SatoshiDICE is what really made Bitcoin so strong. vDice wants to do the same with ETH. Moreover, they created  decentralised architecture, which makes the game more trustworthy. I wonder, why is so many scepticism for this project? Any objective reasons?

Looks so promising, what's makes me interesting is most bitcoin transaction come from gambling, in fact it's true and vDice look this for an opportunity to makes ETH strong as Bitcoin did.
The ICO will be great i think, have already subscribed.

The concept is good, but after reading about the financial model for the project, you stated that the profit projected will not be more than 70ETH per day, why impose the cap because if it possible for fluctuation in income and investors will surely bear decline in profit, why can they also benefit from the increase in profit. I also note that the marketing strategy is not well detailed because as we know betting industries is one that is really crowded presently, can you please expand on how you wish to penetrate this market. Another issue is how will you address the effect of fluctuation in price of Ethereum against dollar, since you have already capped your profit. Lastly, what is the minimum and maximum amount that will make this crowdsale a success?

ICO Architecture

The structure of the vSlice application is composed of three smart contracts, each of them handling a different aspect of the ICO.

The three smart contracts interact with each other, and with the vDice contract, as better explained by the graphs below:

Thanks for the compliment!

(BTW I answer so many questions about the ICO all day.
These are the most relevant and best yet. Thank you! Makes my job a treat).

We have imposed no cap.
Where does this 70 ETH / day figure come from ? Please clarify.

We have given ROI projections. These are based on conservative figures.

The only cap is on the ICO contract itself. It has a max. of 700K ETH upper limit. This is mainly for security reasons.

We believe uncapped Smart Contracts for ICO are bad practice.
We are very security conscious at vDice. That is how maintain a live, working Dapp without getting hacked.

Marketing:

Marketing is very heavily tied to the platform development itself.

You will get a lot of information there:
https://blog.vdice.io/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/vDice_Development_Roadmap.pdf

We have developed proofs with our oracle.
These have on-blockchain betting times down to around 5s already (on test-net). Release is set for end of year, after peer-review.

This time next year, we will compete with centralized services for speed and efficiency.
Then we will have all the advantages of decentralization, with none of the drawbacks.

Initially we will only be processing ETH bets.
That is a billion $ market with very few competitors (centralized or decentralized).

Then we grow organically out of our Niche, with the technology and ecosystem.

As decentralised exchanges grow we will have pegged tokens. Then there is betting using fiat as pegged tokens.
Decentralised exchanges are already on blockchain 2.0 projects like Bitshares. We will see them in Ethereum better, very soon.

With this organic growth we can work on more mainstream markets. But always playing on our strengths.
We already work with mainstream gaming promotions firms. We will extend those relationships.

Marketing and Phase 3 of Development:

I think you are neglecting phase 3 of the development roadmap.

There we open up the platform to 3rd party developers.
Many have called vDice the android app-store of gambling, for this phase.

A lot of independent developers will write their own gambling Dapps. The incentives are too great.

At vDice developers can host their own gambling Dapps.
As such, vDice will become a stable, reliable and trusted brand for gambling Dapps.

vDice will leverage the considerable developer talent.
These developers do not have the time and resources to grow their own brand. We at vDice will provide that.

vDice.io then provides a home for great Ethereum Gambling Dapps.

Other Games:

We’re already leading the charge and working with 3rd party devs.

We’ve got a binary options game ready to go. The code is here:
https://github.com/jamesgroton/vDice-Contract-Code/blob/master/binary1.7.sol

It’s like a simplified version of Augur. It works. And it doesn’t have the problems of Augur.
We ran it earlier in the year, with no promotion. It was stable and enjoyed by our players.

There will be many more games like this coming. All are tied to the vDice platform.

The vDice Token:

The vDice token is limited in supply. After the ICO there will be no more created.

Further, it is tied to the profits of current and ALL future games.

Technically, with Ethereum this is easy. Just set the houseAddress of those contracts to the profitContainer's address.

The way the profits are distributed is simply based upon the amount of tokens a token holder holds in proportion to the total supply.
And the amount of profit that was in the profitContainer contract at the start of lock period.

First off, I would like to say I really like the concept of your website. I haven't seen too many websites that send money to gamble and get your money back. As I'm not really familiar with Ethereum, do you know any exchange website I could instantly change from BTC -> ETH and after it finishes gambling, it gets sent to an ETH -> to BTC? I would really love to try your website!

Great to hear that.

There are almost all the website that are offering this pair exchange. Like
Kraken
Cex
polo
yobit
etc

When you'll send the money to one of the contract given in the vDice, if you win, you will automatically get paid in ETH within seconds.

Thanks for the compliment. Our developers work super hard.

If you want to instantly change from BTC > ETH, shapeshift.io is the easiest.

We have built the world's 1st LIVE, FULLY Decentralized Gambling Platform.

Basically, all gambling games are built on some database.

There are 2 types of gambling games:

1). Non-Blockchain (Central Database) Gambling.

It works the same as an exchange service.

You send your ETH to the game owners.
They record your ETH balance in their own database.

You have to trust the people who run the game.

2). Blockchain Gambling (Decentralised).

At vDice.io our games use the Ethereum blockchain as the database.
So there are no accounts. We NEVER touch your money.

Instead, you play directly from your own wallet.
You send ETH directly to the Smart Contract, on the Ethereum blockchain.

The Smart Contract processes the bet, and returns the win directly to your wallet.

You only have to trust the Smart Contract.

Hi,

What will happen if the token aren't sold out after the ICO period?

To clarify, the distribution doesn't work like that. We haven't premined a bunch of tokens for sale.

Instead:

The ‘vSlice’ token Smart Contract will be deployed and people who contribute will receive:

- Week 1 = 1 : 130
- Week 2 = 1 : 120
- Weeks 3 & 4 = 1 : 100
for each Ether (ETH) they send, for the 1-month of the issuance.

So, for example; 100 ETH will get 13,000 vSlice tokens, up until the cap of 700,000 ETH. This cap is a max. upper limit mainly for security reasons.

The Crowdsale Smart Contract is fully decentralised. That is, the sending of Ether (ETH) to the Token Smart Contract will result in the immediate, and decentralised, issuance of the contributors vSlice tokens on the Ethereum blockchain.

Hope that clears it up for you.

So does that mean the total coin supply could be less than 96 million?

I think, Ico will success... How many BTC will collected ( must will be collected on a plan) ?

Plan - 7500000$ Cool I think big boys will buy a large percentage of tokens (70%-90%). They bought all tokens of singular and first blood. Firstblood sold out in 3 minutes. Singular sold out in 13 minutes. These projects wanted to get  7500000$ like  Vdice Cool
