Hi, I am new to ARK and looking for a place to park my investment for long-term. I have a few questions hoping anyone who's knowing Ark well to give me some answers for the following questions below:
1. Is Ark a competitor of Stratis, Waves, Ethereum, Lisk? 2. Is Ark built to host ICO's. 3. If Q2 is yes, when will it be able to, give your best Guess? 4. Why do you think Ark is a must have long term investment?
Thank you in advance.
I cant answer all your quastions but here is an interessting short review about ark... i guess the first page of this thread also gives some infos about it ...and read the WHITEPAPER ( https://ark.io/Whitepaper.pdf) https://bitcoinexchangeguide.com/ark-ico/In layman’s terms, ARK wants to make it easier for ordinary people to use the blockchain. Here’s how the ARK whitepaper explains it: “Bitcoin brought us the blockchain. Ethereum brought us smart contracts. Altcoins brought us their unique features. So where are the services for the ordinary consumer instead of only speculative instruments for the trader?” With that in mind, ARK is creating an ecosystem that aims to facilitate consumer adoption into blockchain technology. Most people today know ARK for its cryptocurrency. However, ARK describes itself as “not just a cryptocurrency – it is an ecosystem meant for cryptocurrency mass adoption.” MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE AS INVESTMENT: I keep on buying more and get my staking rewards bought my first in March this year... i made a nice 1600% profit on my fiat investment...i will keep on holding. Thank You and very appreciated for your answers, Ben. I understand that ARK is building an Ecosystem for mass adoption with six different programming languages, but what does it use for exactly? to host ICOs? trading platform? advertisement and communication platform? or kinda all-purpose platform? Ok, I just went back and read the articles from the links you've provided above. This part it says, "the ARK Crew can connect many popular blockchains and create a unifying bond among different ecosystems. So far, they’ve linked bitcoin, Ethereum, Lisk, third party anonymous network, multiple gaming economy tokens, and other bridges connecting new blockchains." If the purpose is just to provide a mean for linking various blockchains together, then So what is so special about ARK? Who are the target end-users? Not every likes Caviar! LOL This link discribes it really good...as a usecase in the real world..maybe somewhere in the future...i guess most of all project tokens are now more speculative for trading them to make some money..it all will take time.. https://www.reddit.com/r/ArkEcosystem/comments/75a6y3/can_you_help_me_understand_ark_real_use_case/Thanks again Ben, awesome link. Now I can add ARK to my LT investment portfolios.

Love this! But I do miss updates on the v1.1 with reduced fees I haven't known that a new fee structure will be active with version 1.1.0 and just searched for it, that's really cool!! If somebody missed it (like me): version 1.1.0: this is a soft fork, with the following fee structure and integrations: ARK transfers (type : normal TX) : 0.01 ARK ARK voting / un-voting (type : voting TX) : 0.02 ARK 2nd passphrase registration : 1 ARK Delegate registration: 10 ARK Introducing an option to un-vote and vote for a delegate in the same TX making it more user friendly, negating the need to vote once for adding and once for subtracting a vote. Also negates the need to move funds to a new account and vote from there to save on a transaction cost. (This is NOT yet implemented in the Desktop Client) https://blog.ark.io/technical-roadmap-update-from-arks-head-of-development-fd6c9dac19c6

Hey guys, is anyone's Ark Client not making the correct dollar amount calculation with regards to the number of Ark shares? My client's price has been stuck on $2.95 for the past couple of days even though when I'm writing this it's currently at $3.26. I've rebooted my client and computer, but no change. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I've seen people on Reddit asking the different between Ark and Lisk so the above photo should clear it up. Note, this photo is a little old so there might be some updated to it.

You were completely right. I calculated sum via "units total ark" instead of "units filled ark".. Sorry for bothering

Hi all, I just recently took interest in ARK, really impressed so far. I created a web wallet as well to test whether it works. For the last two days, I've been trying to load the wallet and it seems to hang, I get a NO PEER CONNECTION pop-up. Is anyone else experiencing the same?

Hi Dev, Could we get this coin on Bithumb Exchange. This coin is very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very undervalued at this moment. I see Lisk is getting all the action and ARK has done so much. What the bleep is going on here? No disrespect to Lisk, i like Lisk, but ARK should be much higher price wise.
