EDIT:

https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/uk/london

Bitcoin 100's remuneration process is officially close to any users who've once donated to the cause but failed to reply to any of the four PMs I've personally sent them. jake262144 is the only user needing to be verified, in which his chances look good thanks to theymos' efforts.

EDIT: Tomorrow, the 24th (12/2016), is the last day we'll accept PM or post replies from users who've kindly donated to Bitcoin 100 over the years. Again, apologies to any of those unfortunate enough to miss the remuneration process. Looks like Unsung and The Water Project will both be equally endowed with a handsome donation.  Kiss Kiss Kiss

UPDATE: The refund amount is now 0.368 BTC per bitcoin originally donated to Bitcoin 100 for the last 25 donors listed below who've yet to reply to the initial and first follow-up PMs. This rate will only change if some unforeseen event raises its ugly head. To date (11/15/16), no posts have been deleted from this self-moderated thread.  Kiss

Note to users whose accounts have sat dormant for a spell: Expect to jump through a minor hoop or two so to verify you are the original owner of said account whom donated to Bitcoin 100 now seeking remunerations. It'll be I, Bruno, conducting the test(s) with theymos acting as a backup if his assistance is required.

Quick Edit: Any and all donations to me have been and will continue to be redonated to Rassah for his efforts which equals or most likely surpasses my efforts during the course of Bitcoin 100. With that said, consider stating allocations directly to him on this thread or via PM if not planning on doing such directly, along with considering donating to the NPO's we've endowed which still accept bitcoin donations (the annotated list is at the top of the 5th post - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1659475.msg16668096#msg16668096).

NOTE: The OP will be amended due to reaching the 64K posting limit. All the content will still be available on the OP, and second and third post of this thread unless other issues arise, whereupon an update will provide directions. The current major change is that the table depicting users addresses et al. is at the top of the third post of this thread, with intent of moving it back here once I complete amending it, moving the list of charities to either the second or third post. Apologies for any confusions, but rest assured that all relevant content will not be change, just rearranged is all.

EDIT: Where all the tables and major lists are located, moved from original location(s) due to the forum's 64K posting constrains:

List of Bitcoin 100 Contributors: OP/this post below the fold.
Bitcoin 100 Transactions: January 2013 - Present: (2nd post) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1659475.msg16662342#msg16662342
Bitcoin 100 Transactions: December 2011 - December 2012: (3rd post) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1659475.msg16662346#msg16662346
List of Endowed Charities: (5th post) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1659475.msg16668096#msg16668096
List of Verified Unknown Donators: (also 5th post, below the above) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1659475.msg16668096#msg16668096.

Rest assured that I haven't deleted any of the original content with the exception of correcting grammatical errors and clearing up the text reflecting the locations of the above (said task now complete). To date (11/3/16), nary a post has been deleted from this self-moderated thread.

That should take care of all the major housecleaning, with the only ongoing edits to the OP being that of updating the List of Donators as they remit their addresses, subsequently linking their corresponding remitted BTC to a txID.

Firstly, to address why this thread is self-moderated, it's to control any unnecessary drivel from my formidable fanbase, in which they're more than welcome to start their own thread(s) related to this topic et al., reserving this thread for those (for the most part) who've directly contributed to Bitcoin 100 interested in remunerations and the process thereof put forth.

tl;dr: If you're a listed Bitcoin 100 contributor (see list below), submit your current active bitcoin wallet address on this thread and/or PM me via the same user account utilized when you originally donated to Bitcoin 100, whereupon your refund will be processed in a timely manner. Contacting users via PMs began after starting this thread.

A brief history: Bitcoin 100 was created by me on November 22, 2011, with the intent (subsequently successful) of bringing further awareness to Bitcoin via endowing bitcoins to the then current non-cryptocurrency-accepting charitable organizations once they formally embedded a Bitcoin button (or the like) on their respective websites for the acceptance of bitcoin donations. Bitcoin 100's bitcoin wallet address was only accessible by Rassah, with Roger Ver provided the private key(s) in case of a proverbial bus incident. Not one satoshi entrusted to us was ever intentionally misappropriated nor did any of Bitcoin 100's core administrators (myself; Rassah; edd) ever receive any form of monetary compensation toward our volunteered efforts or for maintaining Bitcoin 100 - viz. the now defunct bitcoin100.org - during the past five years. WARNING!: bitcoin100.org is no longer in our control. The current site may be unsafe.

Since its inception, Bitcoin 100 endowed exactly 83 NPOs, most of which priorly were not familiar with Bitcoin specifically, let alone cryptocurrencies (or blockchain technologies) in general. Those 83 entities, depicted in the second [significant] table below the fold at the top of the 5th post of this thread (moved to its current location) - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1659475.msg16668096#msg16668096 - received exactly 681.74286264 BTC valued near-$83K USD when endowed, with 49 of them still accepting bitcoin donations (some now accepting other cryptos) to this very day. The last charity endowed was Northern California DX Foundation over a year ago on July 22, 2015, which brings us to today where Bitcoin 100 still has 109.46781528 BTC in its coffer, the last anonymous [dust] donation of 0.00010168 BTC ($0.05 USD) contributed on January 12, 2016.

Given that the majority of the most recent (and periodically over the years) suggested solution voiced on the Bitcoin 100 thread and privately as to what to do with the unspent funds is to return them to those who've contributed - a foregone impossibility on a one-for-one [bitcoin] basis - a quasi-ideal resolution that's reasonably fair and likely acceptable by most donors needed to be formulated.

And that's exactly what I believed I've accomplished over the course of the past couple weeks, in which the first three posts of this thread should bear evidence to that fact of dedicating said timeframe to, again, achieving an equitable solution.

I've successfully identified 75 contributors (last table below) along with their exact BTC [accumulative] contributions over the years, all worthy of receiving an equal share per 1 BTC donated devised by a simple formula upon determining the exact number of bitcoins donated by said 75 donors --> 228.40755654 BTC. That sum reflects what was directly contributed to Bitcoin 100's coffer which does not include any donations made directly to endowed charities, the latter, understandably, will not be returned partially or otherwise.

In re the simple formula, of the 109.46781528 BTC, 100 BTC was divided by 228.40755654 BTC equating to 0.4378 BTC (rounded down) returned for every bitcoin donated (including partial BTC: e.g. BurtW's [combined] 3.43446733 BTC donation equates to a 1.50360979 BTC allotment), with nary a Bitcoiner receiving less than the USD equivalent originally donated. The 9.46781528 BTC not part of that equation is earmarked toward three other Bitcoiners not included in the accompanied table whose donations were handled separately, albeit a tad shy of what's actually needed, but that, too, is addressed on how such funds are provided for which is the same as for any sleeper unknowns et al. providing valid claims. A list of verified unknown donations follows the tables below is in the 5th post of this thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1659475.msg16668096#msg16668096 - due to the OP's character count reaching its limit. Echoing, all Bitcoiners deemed remunerations shall receive no less than the USD they've individually donated to the Bitcoin 100 cause. To clarify 'deemed', via logic and general consensus a small handful of donors warranted exclusion from inclusion, where I, alone, was central to the determinations, of which some discussion of such might be entertained.

To assure that all Bitcoiners deemed remunerations are satisfied [as outlined], the last 15.0 BTC (15%) remaining in Bitcoin 100's coffer will be readjusted accordingly. Example: If after exactly 85 BTC of the 100 BTC pool had been remitted leaving exactly 15 BTC, but 37 BTC donated by X Bitcoiners remain outstanding, then the new refundable amount would be 0.4054 BTC per every 1 BTC donated (15/37 = 0.40540540).

It's axiomatic that not every refundable Bitcoiner will reply to my wave of PMs (including follow-up PMs and via users' other provided contact options) or see this thread in taking advantage of the windfall within the self-imposed allotted two-month-plus timeframe, namely by Christmas, ergo few, if any, of the materialized claimants will miss out on the slightly more advantageous 0.4378-BTC-per awardment. On Christmas Day, 2016 (12-25-2016), I purpose that any remaining bitcoins be equally dispersed between Jason King's Unsung and The Water Project, the contingency predicated on [if] over $1,000 USD worth of bitcoins is still available, elsewise, barring the unlikelihood, the under-$1,000 balance shall all be donated to Unsung. I envision that at least a two-grand-plus balance will still be in Bitcoin 100's debit column come Christmas Day in spite of my best efforts in making sure that all concerns have ample time to partake in the reimbursements. Anew, I, alone, resolved that 60-days-plus is considered ample time, serendipitously coinciding with endowing a couple fine charitable organizations on Christmas if all goes according to what's conceptualized.

Due to this forum's 64K character limitation per post, the second and third post depict the breakdown of all the transactions to and from the Bitcoin 100 bitcoin wallet address - 1BTC1oo1J3MEt5SFj74ZBcF2Mk97Aah4ac. The top of the second post includes annotations and notes so to better understand said posts' contents.

Special Note: Once a bitcoin wallet address has been received, it'll be included below, along with the amount of bitcoins to be refunded in the REMITTED column which will be linked to the txID on blockchain.info once processed without exceptions (with apologies to anybody having privacy concerns, thus plan accordingly if an issue). This table may be moved to the top of this OP once the last two columns are TBD percent populated or the remittance process has commenced. EDIT: Location fixed.

By my discretion, partyp is the only person on the list below deemed receiving their original donation back on a one-for-one BTC basis (subject to adjustment depending on the exchange rate, regardless will be fair) due to partyp loosing money if adhering to 0.4378 BTC per 1 BTC, coupled with it doesn't break the bank (nor alter the math of any significance) giving him/her an ever so slight profit (comparatively speaking). Not that we wish it, but it's possible partyp may no longer be part of the community given how long he/she's been away, thus perhaps missing out on the awardment. Regardless, a PM has been sent, with follow-up PMs up to Christmas Eve if no replies.

Speaking of follow-up PMs, I'll periodically announce them on this thread, with, perhaps, starting another thread in the appropriate forum section a week prior to Christmas showcasing a complete list of names who've yet to reply.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Bitcoin 100 Transactions: January 2013 - Present

Upon comparing three historical-bitcoin-price sites and seeing that all three were basically in line after conducting a few test, I opted for http://www.investing.com/currencies/btc-usd-historical-data chiefly due to ease of use. The date I used is the one found in Bitcoin100's thread or on WalletExplorer (which fundamentally align with blockchain.info's date and time), e.g.: As with partyp's transaction, I merely plugged in the date August 25, 2014, to glean the average exchange rate (AXR) generated for that day. For all intents and purposes, the expressed process should suffice for any sought-after determinations.

[Other] strikethrough donations not previously addressed in the OP stemmed either from accounts handled separately which were doled out accordingly or were merely anonymous dust donations, i.e. those below $0.50 USD (at the then exchange rate) according to blockchain.info's assessment. I did preform a semi-aggressive search on the Bitcoin 100 thread et al. to see if a face could be associated with the donations, perhaps augmenting a benefactor's overall contributions which proved fruitful on occasions.

In re linked user names, the generated page - more often than not a forum post - verifies the donations, linking to a profile page if a user's been inactive for a spill (~2+ months; sincere efforts will be made to contact the user regardless). Any other linked-to pages should be self-explanatory, but if not, please inquire, whereupon I'll make up an answer address concerns accordingly.

In re Still Accepts BTC Donations, that is a clickable link to the relevant NPO's donation page depicting the acceptance of bitcoins.

In re other Links, they are relevant for some mundane, up to important significance (reasoning on my part). Aside commentaries should be self-explanatory, but please inquire if at sea.

AXR = Average Exchange Rate [for date depicted].
L A: = Last Active: (when the expressed [linked-to] user last visited this forum)
were put in place to deter omissions or duplicate entries during the tallying process.

Dollar (cents) amounts under $0.50 USD don't include an AXR or user name, nym, moniker, etc., again, unless warranted.

I'll start the off-topic-spam:

Bruno, you are a machine! This is some mighty impressive bookkeeping and organizing!
Sad that BTC100 is winding down, but it did it's mission very successful. The time is over, Bitcoin has it's publicity now, mission accomplished.

So, it started and ends with you, Bruno. Thank you for taking it in your hand again, your procedure is well done.
Adress sent via PM.

So, see you people in the next project!

NOTE: I had to jungle things around in the first three posts due to the 64K posting constraints, thus the new home for the following table and list are below.

Please make me aware if any links are broken or if clarifications are in order.

The Breakdown: Annotations/Notes: 3rdPPP = 3rd Party Payment Provider; Self = most likely a 3rdPPP was/is not used, NPOs opting instead to maintain their own bitcoin wallet addresses, some in conjunction with a 3rdPPP; Nice! = donated bitcoins not moved since endowed, with some bitcoin wallet addresses augmented since.

Please consider donating to any of the following charities on the list if you're seeking an NPO that accepts bitcoin (some, other cryptos) donations.

List of Verified Unknown Donors

Every effort was made in determining who were the donors including: rereading the official Bitcoin 100 thread up to, during and past the dated donations (and entirely); Googling the addresses; Googling the txIDs; more often than not searching directly on this forum the latter two; checking the bitcoin addresses that fed the donating addresses, sometimes more than three txs back (sometimes a couple txs forward) depending on the size of the donation; checking my PMs to see if clues existed there; etc.

If a mistake has occurred on my end, simply supply proof that a particular donation did indeed stem from you and that you're desiring to be reimbursed accordingly.

Ente

How the hell did you do that? Like magic, your post generated the page view count to (Read 100 times). Being a Cubs fan, I would've totally freaked out if the count were 108 (ref. http://www.harrycarays.com/2016/09/magic-number-108/), albeit 100 is our magic number, hence serendipitously was part of the equation to generate the multiplier (0.4378), and come Christmas 100% of Bitcoin 100's coffer will be 100% appropriately dispersed with hopefully Unsung and The Water Project receiving worthy endowments.

Thank you, Ente, for your kind words. I duly hope that the "procedure" I conceived is über-fair across the board.

Your bitcoin wallet address (again, sorry for such being public knowledge, thus plan accordingly if problematic), among others, has been added to the List of Bitcoin 100 Contributors table in the OP along with respective BTC earmarked for reimbursements (later linked as proof of remittance).

Echoing, the List of Bitcoin 100 Contributors table will gravitate to the top of the OP once several more users remit their currently active bitcoin wallet addresses as I continue to pen PMs to those listed.

Unbelievably great work Bruno. You know that I'm CornedBeefHash on the list. We've met in person and known each other on this forum for almost five years. I authorize you (Bruno Kucinskas) to keep the remainder of my funds as payment for your hard work, dedication and honesty in dealing with Bitcoin100.

Dude, I was about to PM you the same exact copy (plus a PS) I've sent to others on the list. Yes, as you can see in the OP I've already linked CBH to your profile due to being well aware that both bald headed fucks are one in the same.   Grin (tell the misses I said hello, BTW) I will admit that you were at the top of the list as one that may have an issue with the plan (don't ask me why; just did). Now I'm shocked to see that you've donated your awardment to me which I will thankfully decline acceptance, opting instead to give it to Rassah for his efforts throughout the years, perhaps used to buy his better half a worthy Christmas present.

Thanks again, CBH.

Thank you, Bruno, for such an unbelievably monumental and important work! Having tried and failed to take just one small fund-raising project off the ground, and trying to convince just one charity, I know first-hand what a challenge this is. At the time, when you launched Bitcoin100, I was but a neophyte to the crypro-currency world, so, alas, that tiny amount was all that I could spare at the time.

You have truly written your name into the Bitcoin history, Bruno!

“Dark times lie ahead of us and there will be a time when we must choose between what is easy and what is right.”
“We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided.”
“It is important to fight and fight again, and keep fighting, for only then can evil be kept at bay, though never quite eradicated.”

Obviously, you didn't read the OP kindly suggesting to curtail unnecessary drivel from my fanbase, instructing you dudes to start your own threads pertaining to such.  Grin Grin Grin Seriously, thank you kindly, Nemo1024, for your sentiment. As gleaned from your PM, I've added your BWA to the list.

Thanks again, bud.

Brueno, Rassah,

Thanks for all your work with Bitcoin100!

Check your PMs, we have something we want to give you guys.

Got your PM and won't tell a soul (especially edd) that you're sending this good dog - Bruno - some treats. I've added your address to the list. Glad to read that your wonderful boys (and family) are doing well.

Thanks again, bud.

Thanks, edd, and your address has been added to the list as well. I doubt that there'll be any major discrepancies with most of any combined smaller ones covered by the last 15 BTC adjustment I've devised and outlined, specifically designed so to make sure all who've contributed are satisfied.

To all others, more PMs are still being sent and the List of Bitcoin 100 Contributors in the OP has been updated.

I just checked, Jim, and your original pledge was 20 BTC, not 25 BTC as you've alluded to. That said, kindly remit to us 18 BTC, whereupon you'll receive a handsome reward of 0.8756 BTC (according to my Leroy Fodor math).

Seriously, thank you kindly for your support and PM reply. Your address et al. has been added to the list in the OP.

Two-plus-weeks of thoroughness in fact, in which unintentional minute errors may still have occurred, but, again, financially covered via late and/or non-arrivals making up the expressed 15% pool (reads like word spaghetti, but hopefully the gist was not lost).

Hey Phinnaeus Gage,

Blast from the past! Smiley  I haven't been here on the forum in forever, and I've abandoned /r/bitcoin as well, so now I'm like a Bitcoiner without a home... an orphan lost at sea.

But that's okay, I get to see most of the good ones at conferences/events still. Hopefully you and I can perhaps meet some day.

Thank you for putting together the Bitcoin 100, and for winding it down in such a professional manner. You can send anything of mine to:  1HRLDNg1jZrHqeYQudiePjhTk68XHsuaYB

See you at the moon, my friend.

I haven't kept up to date with the Bitcoin 100 thread.  I'm saddened to learn that funds are being sent back to contributors.  As someone who has donated anonymously over the years, I know I'd rather see the funds donated to a charity or pro-Bitcoin entity and not sent back to users.  I'd hate to think my donations never made it to a good cause and instead were sent to other members.

Bitcoin: An Idea Worth Spending

I haven't kept up to date with the Bitcoin 100 thread.  I'm saddened to learn that funds are being sent back to contributors.  As someone who has donated anonymously over the years, I know I'd rather see the funds donated to a charity or pro-Bitcoin entity and not sent back to users.  I'd hate to think my donations never made it to a good cause and instead were sent to other members.

I'm perplexed, bud. The only time you've ever mentioned Bitcoin 100 (or Bitcoin100 for that matter) on this forum was above. To be fair, if you can provide proof of donations, we'll be more than happy to make things right. You shouldn't have any issues with anonymity given 1NastyFRkeUTmMdbMmzggDVTQA6r3ibUoX's history, but if you do, please PM me details to help in resolving this minor issue.

Collectively, all the donors contributed to 83 good causes (minus any rogues making it pass the vetting process). That said, I look forward to your reply.

Bruno
