Here you go Bruno. I'm seriously wondering what program you made this with. I really like the design, but the pixellation is horrible. If I just put the coin over yours in photoshop it looks like this: Which is a lot smoother than your version (although the letters pixelation is still there). Perhaps you could use a different program? The design itself is pretty nice.

We should definitely use yours. I'm using Sothink Logo Maker but it could be the copy of the coin logo I downloaded.
If you give me your source files (Like the Bitcoin "B"), I could run them through photoshop, if it's not too much work (Not sure how much this logo maker did for you, I'm actually quite busy atm >_<).

I don't have time to monitor this thread in detail, but getting more charities on board with bitcoin is very important. I just sent in another 90 BTC. (So far 100 BTC contributed)
Please keep up the great work!

Thank you so kindly, Roger, for your generous donation. We're doing our damndest here. If we need your help with anything, or something needs to be brought to your attention, we will surely do such. I'm sure Rassah will see this and take care of the bookkeeping end as far as this transaction goes. This is what came out of my photoshopping. Now I'm really going to sleep for about 2 hours (6:23 AM >_<). Cheers Here's the photoshop file for anyone who wants to take a stab: http://ge.tt/9AEPNvCGreat job - much better! Thanks. Bruno, take the file from the above link and use it in place of the one I gave you. You guys are great. It only took me 45 minutes to figure out how to get that file unlocked. I normally do jpeg or png, not whatever that was. But I got it. I don't have Photoshop, but my sister does. I've never used it, but wish I had it. Maybe theymos will get me a copy for my birthday. Thanks to everyone who had a hand in creating this header for the website. Special thanks to CornedBeefHash for jump starting it. Now we can move on to the official logo. The one with the hands that Matthew was so kind to offer up for inspiration. The following is my latest suggestion. Feel free to add your own creative styles to it. Let's start working with this image and see how it progresses. Perhaps start with the truism that white, black, red and yellow people populate the globe. Tighten up the Bitcoin logo image in the center, having it pronounced as much as possible. I kind of like the gray outer circles/design, but it doesn't have to be gray. Only stating that I like the concept. It kind of reminds me of TV's early Emergency Broadcast System (EBS) symbol.

Actually you can click the small version, and then it takes you to a large pngshould take you to a large png, except that doesn't seem to work at the moment. I'm not sure I would call occupy anything a charity. They are not providing a good or service and CryptoxMedia is already heavily involved in the Bitcoin community. We will only get more Bitcoin community projects looking for donations if we do this. You should put up a donation thread like what was done for archive.org. I would donate to that seperatley. It's a -1 for me.
Communty television is a charity. What do you think pbs is ? CH99 is simply under the umbrella of Occupy and it can also be an avenue to promote bitcoin. I thought the idea was to have some reciprocation and get bitcoin out there in the community ?

Hi,
I've been following the Bitcoin100 quite some time now and somehow it feels like it lost inertia? In the original post there is no link to a website despite the length of the thread and the money that went into this venture. No success with the organisations that were contacted, etc.
It has been brought up before: Iran had 100% inflation in one month now. Charities in Iran that hold their money in IRR must be crazy. They can not hold USD neither due to the embargo. As there is not much BTC in Iran by now, they can not easily convert their IRR to BTC but they should have supporters abroad that can convert their €, $ or ¥ to BTC and send them there. Why would the red cross care about BTC? They know that no normal person would go the difficult way to convert $$ to BTC to send them ... well ... $$. In Iran there is a very good reason store value in BTC.
Also I doubt anybody would worry to get fiat for BTC in Iran.

Public television run by volunteers isnt a service or a charity organisation? What do you call it then ? After all the hit pieces in the media about bitcoin you dont want to support a media startup that will disrupt their lying and propaganda ?

There are already several projects underway to help disrupt the propaganda and they are not on our list. I don't mean to be harsh but it sounds like your focusing on a group of protesters who's biggest need is electricity to charge their iPhones. There are millions of people in the world who lack basic needs, that is where I would like to see our bitcoins go. It's not just about Bitcoin. As I said before, start a separate donation thread and see what the interest is. I'll be happy to give a donation there.

The way I see it, you can only solve one problem at a time. Is it going to be keeping some silly kids alive a few more days, or is it going to be helping to change the world's political system? I'd say buy everyone a tank and the problem is solved.

That's the issue. I don't think Bitcoin100 should be involved in political projects, too much disagreement. But I won't withdraw donations if that's where we choose to go. And I'm all in on the tank.
