I have started a group buy here...
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1837145.new#new

Please note, they have informed me that payment needs to be made all at once, if your uncomfortable sending me funds first, I understand but please understand I cannot do anything about it.

What price have you got for the group buy? Bulk pricing? I am thinking of 1 unit to test before I buy 9 units.

I was hoping by now, Phil would have reviewed it and gave his critical observations.

Anyone lucky to get one recently, please do post pix etc.

No, no discount, these things are selling so hot, there is no way they will give a discount.  Simply a way to make sure that those of us in the US can get in on the action without having to wake up at absurd hours.  Just heard when next batch will go on sale, US residents will not be pleased about waking up in the middle of the night.

OK put me down for 2 units. BTC payment only.

Also explicitly inform them that we buy new & brand new units only -- not "used", scratches, dusty etc....

If I provided you good and useful info or just a smile to your day, consider sending me merit points to further validate this Bitcointalk account ~ useful for future account recovery...

I don't see Group-buying making any sense because of 15$.
Anyway, the high rate of carelessness, the never existed first presale, and the risen deposit starts making me suspiciuous.

It's not about saving $15.
It is about actually getting stock.

Unless you tried to buy recently when stock went to 0 , you won't understand.

You know  I loved the b1  and I wanted to test the b3

but  you and I may have the same concern here.

I think I'll pass on the B3.

Good luck to all buying.

Hi Phil,

What is the concern about the B3?

Reliability, or earlier posts about scratched units etc?

Or just no B3's reviewed yet?

EDIT: Or they just want our BTC and we get nothing ? lol

Behavior of past companies is the reason for concern.

Example:
  • 1st Production Run: A company gets a big business loan - R&D a prodct, Deliver a 1st run product that everyone is excited about. The company then depletes business operating funds after the 1st production run.
  • 2nd Production Run: Company displays some fancy CAD designs for the 2nd generation product. Require everyone deposit money upfront. People drop boat loads of cash for hundreds or thousands of units. Company fails or disappears and never delivers the products

I'm not saying that's what is happening here but this type of business model/operation has been seen multiple times and many people have lost out significantly.

I'm ok with putting money down if I can see a physically working product in video and someone has one in their hands to review. This tells me they have enough capital to actually produce the product with the money I deposit on it.

if all they can produce is CAD images of a product it's cause for concern when the company operates in a country where you have no control if they just walk away with your money.

So for me, unless I can pay with a credit card which gives me some security of ZERO fraud liability on my part, I'll likely pass as well on a pre-order until I see units actually being produced.

Some people have money to buy into high risk endeavors, I'm not one of them.

yeah  and in my case expansion  from 12 gpus to 21 would take me 1 -3 days  getting 9 cards

with a cc  and added protection at same cost.

9x rx 480  8gbs vs 8x rx 470 4gbs

see cards I could order and idle mobos  waiting for cards .

GPUS will hold thier value far more than these miners if the altcoin market was to crash, you can sell your GPU's slowly over several moths for a good part of your purchase price,
its easier to sell with the orginal box and acsessories.  Panda miner is fine but its far more risky being pre-order on top of that that just building your own rigs

@team will you ever make the 4gpu miner described in the website...I'm waiting from the beginning to buy it.

IMO the people buying this loud dedicated device are the ones looking for as much hashrate as possible per machine. a 4gpu version seems unlikely - you are better making your own with fullsize cards

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461

Tossed this on the group buy thread. I'm out. The math just does not work at 0.077c kwh (6 month contract) with data hall.

Anyway 2 more now available to those fortunate to 1) just get into mining equip ..you likely will ROI in a year say or 2) those
with less then 5c kwh elec rates

me (if interested see below reasons on the link) already have toys.....will run the rubber bands out on them first I guess Wink

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1837145.msg18299729#msg18299729

anyway the presale again is NOW at 3 AM CST only 500 units 1k downpayment

good luck..if things change in GPU mining I can always dive back in and build a rig. But as of now, I'm out Sad

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

It is also written that B3 will be super silent. Any info on it?

Do you think can I power it with EVGA G2 1300W or it is on the upper limit?

Some problems of the background system.
The staff told me if you don't want the PSU, the fee will be refund.
