It's a difference like between night and day the way Binance deals with their incident and the way Cryptopia does. It's been a week and Binance already had three top-level announcements. And no sign of the police locking things down, figure that!

Yeah, it's a real strange world where the once with the most cash/funds can handle an event like that, while the smaller fish gets eaten. Must be a first in the history of the world.

Like stated many times before you can do things that don't cost Money .. to help and reassure your customers .. and its not like they where tiny when they claim 230 million in funds.

Turning off the computers and handing it over to the police while they should have been far more expert then the police on Crypto exchange matters makes No Sense At All.

no tweet update since 26th of April (which was an old maintenance update, and has some new angry comments of this week) so today is again maintenance which was not tweeted...that is not reassuring, and only creates aggravation.

Tells people that there is either no-one being payed for a simple tweet, or cannot be arsed to do so.

So WHERE is the official communication channel? (according to some tweets some were banned on discord simply asking!)

There has to be some way to force cryptopia to open the exchange and allow withdrawals for all coins or this will continue indefinitely. They won't open because the new zealand police won't do their jobs and force them to open.

Cryptopia feels no threat of criminal or civil charges so they behave in this reckless and disdainful manner.

The new zealand police have to be the most useless worthless piles of steaming garbage on the planet. They have done absolutely nothing to investigate what happened and to gather enough evidence to lay criminal charges against cryptopia and their two owners Clarke and Dawson.

This absolutely cannot continue and if cryptopia thinks they can stall and take their time and taunt us with little kids messages on their home page they got another thing coming.

My next step is contacting the fbi . When the fbi sends a team down to  new zealand then those fuckers clarke and dawson will be in for a rude awakening because the fbi are serious individuals. They aren't like these useless fake cops they have in new zealand.

They are still sharing articles how binance got hacked But Ben or starlord is not posting anymore in their disocrd probably already quit his job in cryptopia.

As for the hack its impossible they got hack again, they are paying manually and its too primitive method just to get hack again.

David Ruscoe and Russell Moore from Grant Thornton New Zealand were yesterday appointed liquidators of Cryptopia Limited, a New Zealand cryptocurrency exchange based in Christchurch.

The highly publicised hack of Cryptopia’s exchange in January 2019 had a severe impact on the company’s trade. Despite the efforts of management to reduce cost and return the business to profitability, it was decided the appointment of liquidators was in the best interests of customers, staff and other stakeholders.

The liquidators are focused on securing the assets for the benefit of all stakeholders. While this process and investigations take place, trading on the exchange is suspended.

“We realise Cryptopia’s customers will want to have this matter resolved as soon as possible. We will conduct a thorough investigation, working with several different stakeholders including management and shareholders, to find the solution that is in the best interests of customers and stakeholders,” says David Ruscoe.

“Given the complexities involved we expect the investigation to take months rather than weeks.”

The liquidators are also working with independent experts and the relevant authorities with regards to the company’s obligations.   

Grant Thornton will be contacting all customers and suppliers about its appointment in the next few days.

An initial report will be available on the New Zealand Companies Office website next week. No further comment will be made until more information is available.
