Mine is 0.3 btc and worth 0.2 altcoins. These kinds of happenings are so discouraging. But now I am not expecting to get paid anymore. I can only hope that the owners of Cryptopia will get the punishment they deserve.

If any of the liquidators are reading these posts could you switch the lights off in the now defunct Cryptopia offices. The lights are always on every time I drive past, even 11pm on a Saturday night. The power costs are coming out of our pockets.

Rubbish announcement, This update is just a smokescreen that we are not getting anything back. I already lost hope on getting a single penny on this demise. This will drag to the coming years until there's nothing left and lawyers happy.

It seems like KYC and AML verification is a must to be able to continue the trade-in craptopia.
I'm about to get a new phone so I think I'm going to lose 2FA, but I guess we don't have to worry about that. For the amount I have there, minus the hack haircut and hefty fees the liquidator will consume, I don't think it's worth my time. Hopefully they won't make it too difficult for people who have more. Still really concerned that the only record of customer's balances was sitting in a data center in the USA. That's not the sort of thing you'd expect at an exchange which was at one point trading hundreds of thousands (or millions?) of dollars worth of customer funds every day.

Oh! another kyc compliance alibi for Cryptopia to integrate. This what makes more harder for its users to take their money back same as you said and im aint surprised and this is indeed a cover-up into their issues.

KYC are needed for larger amounts like 10,000 USD minimum or something around that. so crypto users are laundering 500$? 100$ worth of crypto? LOL liquidators are vultures, what would you expect? click enable withdrawal button? they want money just like any business out there. Cryptopia thieves intentionally put those hyenas there so that the trail of missing/stolen funds obfuscate in the process. Customers did not have individual wallets and it is impossible to determine individual ownership using just the keys in the wallets. While Cryptopia held details of customer holdings and reported these on the Exchange, the crypto-assets themselves were pooled (co-mingled) in coin wallets. As a centralised exchange, users' trades would occur in the exchange's internal ledger without confirmation on the blockchain. prepare for some good fucking from behind.

as I said, be patient and don't let yourself down, by how long does it take and by this kind blurry statements from the liquidators. I don't expect to recover much of what I had at the time of the hack (although $BIS was not subject to hack at all and that was the only coin I had there), but at least I will give it a try.

LOL this is a first rate announcement to ensure funds go back to the rightful owners, this is a hacked exchange ffs who knows what other shit those hackers took. And why else would you not provide KYC unless you're a dodgy motherfucker or your country is a backwards shithole not providing id for individuals.

Well that did not end well did it? Cryptopia caused a lot of pain to investors. I hope some of them manage to get some of their funds back.

Who have TAJCoin or another Proof-Of-Stake coins and did withdraw this from cryptopia - diversify your coins, and enable staking to save working mainnet. If TajCoin's saved on cryptopia - need to enable staking, because blockchain is stopped.
