OK - I've got money lost at CRYptopia too. And I'm not happy about it.
But Grant Thorton is not a "bad reputation" company. It's a major global accounting services firm with a very good global reputation. While no one is happy, it takes years to settle a liquidation. Nothing you can do but wait.

Lesson learned - not your keys, not your coins. if you leave coins at an exchange, it's on you.

Of course, every trader knows all this it's one of the rules of the thumb, do not leave or use addresses coming from the exchange it's a big no, but trader have to allocate funds to put on a sell order, in case there is a pump ongoing, you cannot be online 24 hours a day just to get if,  the price that you want to sell your coins are already being hit, you put the sell order to make a future profit not leaving your coins because you don't have wallet for those coins.

The lawsuits need to start piling up now. We've waited long enough for these clowns to secure the coins.  They need to start putting these criminals in jail and filing class action lawsuits. The thing is, aside from @Finger, no one else here shared or said that they received the same email. I assume most of them who received it are coin/token developers. Possibility of getting news here about that webinar is slim, but let's see if Cryptopia will share a video on their social media accounts.

Though I lost a couple of hundred dollars in this Cryptopia debacle, I'm still grateful that I withdrew almost all of my money from them 2 weeks before the hack. Don't know what's wrong with them at that time but I've been experiencing latency issues in their platform and that problem urged me to withdrew my money from them. Maybe that's a sign that something's gonna happen but no one (except the culprits) really knows.

What I'm trying to do now is to keep updated with any news regarding this matter. Unfortunately, the most recent update that I found is way back May 2019. The chance that you'll gonna get your money back slowly deteriorates as time passes by. Hard truth to swallow, I must say.
