I've been running ccminer 1.0 for some time now on a quark based coin with a couple of GT640 (DDR5, CC3.5), CUDA 5.5, driver 331.38. It runs well but I'm wondering if I can expect any performance gains from ccminer 1.2 and the deps that go along with it?

You do know that cgminer runs Nvidia cards?

Just test it out and try. I have my 970 ready. A few minutes till kick off.

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks Wink

No algo, just cgminer3s.exe

EDIT: Getting HW errors. So I'll play around just a little bit.

Link in OP under miner binaries.

EDIT: Looks like us Nvidia miners might be out on this one until another miner is made. I get Hardware Errors no matter what I try.

1coin, S3 hash, blablabla

Something to get the NV people by until someone makes a decent release. It's already practically 100% djm's code (shavite that eats 80 bytes of input) in addition to cb's original x11 so I expect djm to add it to his fork... when he wakes up, I guess. Early bird gets the instamine, djm is clearly losing his touch Tongue

I haven't instamined a coin in a long time...  Grin
I don't have time at the moment, I have to (re)write the opencl miner for coinshield...
(also I have many update to pass to my release, so it will take a bit longer... to be honest, if there is already an amd miner, there isn't much incentive for a fast nvidia release... the coin is already raped...  Grin)

hmm..I currently have a problem with one (?) of my 750Ti. nvidia-smi is reporting "ERROR: GPU is lost" but it looks like it's still hashing. This happened a few times over the last weeks, sometimes it works after a reboot for another week, sometimes only a few hours. I'm also not 100% sure if it's always the same card (I will keep track of that from now on).

Does that mean one of my cards is dying, or is there another problem?

edit: from dmesg:

Code:
[14922.167340] NVRM: GPU at 0000:01:00.0 has fallen off the bus.

well, the card is still not back from RMA, and today another card failed with the exact same error Sad
the one that failed first, was the card running the hottest (~57°C), and now it's the next hottest card (~56°C).
I don't think that's too hot? I always clean dust off the rig from time to time, and everything was running since I removed the other card.
Is it really possible that a second card breaks after such a short time? All cards were bought back in march...never overclocked.

it's another pci-e slot. the card which runs coldest (47°C) as well as the other two next to it, never failed so far *knocks on wood*. Well, I guess I have to wait for the first card to come back. If EVGA says it's not broken, I have to look for other possibilities (like the mobo, but I doubt it's that).

Edit: I just recognized, that it was not the next hottest card that failed today, but the coldest Tongue

Can anyone help with this? i want to try and learn to compile this weekend.

I get an error message when opening the ccminer.sln: "cminer.vcxproj' cannot be opened because its project type (.vcxproj) is not supported by this version of the application. To open it,please use a version that supports this type of project."

I have VS10sp1-KB983509 installed. Not sure if that is the correct VS service pack 1 or not.

When the VB 2010 opens it says ccminer (unavailable) in the top right corner

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks Wink

looks like it ^^ no but really, it's kinda strange that two cards fail within 3 weeks. I'll keep an eye on the one that failed today, so far it's running since ~4h. EVGA might start to hate me, if I send them another card :/

It depends on the algo which you run the card. I experience some dead cards for a certain algo, otherwise they work great.

True enough, personally I moonwalked away from the coin after the initial insta. Just figured I'd put out some kind of a CUDA miner since the OpenCL one was, unsurprisingly, not running very well on NV cards.

Nobody here still haven't mentioned new "CPU-only" coin, GAP? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=822498.0
Even it's belonging to C&C new area of interest (PRIMES).

To be honest still nobody wants this coin at exchange.
