actually it isn't really a secret, coinwarz was putting it on top of their profitability list some days ago already...
I see. I stopped checking profitability calculators and multipools months ago as they were always far behind in terms of profitabiltiy. the latest rumors seem to say that because the 16nm-die are delayed the 980ti will be delayed too...
Well, the 780 Ti was released about 5 months after the 780 so it might take a while for the 980 Ti to be released. 5 months isn't that far away, if this is the case too, mining is not profitable anyway so better to wait, unless you need it to play far cry 4 , but even then a 970 can run any title at full hd, 980 would be mandatory for those who bought a 4k monitor, i can agree on this for cod advanced warfare, I heard it was a bit laggy, but with 2x 980 it seems rather ok (waiting far cry4 too...)

Is it possible to mine scrypt-n coins with ccMiner and find this info in a file, so I don't have to ask which algos are supported? ./ccminer -t 2 -a scryptn -o stratum+tcp://stratum.nicehash.com:3335 -u x -p x ... doesn't work. Thanks for every hint!

Diff has now doubled, profitability slashed.........twas nice whilst it lasted!
Just keep an eye on the kilo-watt meters...........
Haven't looked into it but I thought it's going to happen. It's like a wildfire. Part of the reason why I proposed a private forum (to share profitabiltiy related info) for people who actually post here, to avoid lurkers who distributes or even sells the info on other sites. 5 months isn't that far away, if this is the case too, mining is not profitable anyway so better to wait, unless you need it to play far cry 4 , but even then a 970 can run any title at full hd, 980 would be mandatory for those who bought a 4k monitor, i can agree on this for cod advanced warfare, I heard it was a bit laggy, but with 2x 980 it seems rather ok (waiting far cry4 too...) I'd say 9xx SLI is necessary if you want to keep 60fps at 4k considering how bad console ports we're getting. Just look at ass unity which requires a GTX 680 while the recommended card being a GTX 780. CoD:AW is either have a terrible netcode or there are p2p connections between players which is borderline retarded. Either way I heard it's unplayable in it's current state because of the lag.

Dedicated server would be nice... but we all know it will never happen . There is more chance that the Mintpal guy gives the money back (but for the moment, it is ok... well in 10 months while only 30% of the fan base will have bought the dlc... that will suck... but until now... what 3 second delay in a whole lifetime )

Thanks for every hint! For all versions of cudaminer, ccminer, and nvminer, you can use --help or -h to get a list of all commands, and supported algos. Pretty basic, not sure why you didn't do this first.

Hey guys,
So I have 2x 980's and wondering what would be best to mine, which algorithm?
Thanks in advance.

Also what settings would you use for a 980?
Thanks in advance.
try coinshield... worth nothing as there is no scam group involved in the coin, but there is clearly lots of innovation...

I meant more algorithm to get the most out of the Maxwell gpu and returns to BTC.
I think I will mostly use a multipool mining service, but just wondering where to point the cards.
Scrypt, Scrypt-N, X11, what?!

multipool ? This isn't really the best time for multipool

Remember, when someone post a most profitable coin in this thread, next day or two, it's not profitable anymore. And I'm not saying that, this question is quite off-topic in this thread.

UTC... still is and been long. This thread is called - cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications, right? So please go make your own thread - The most profitable coin to mine. Really don't want to read tons of these off-topic.

DAMN people need to read!
I'm not and have not said "Coin" at all.
I'm asking for algorithm.
I'm NOT asking which is the most profitable coin to mine, I'm asking which is the best ALGORITHM to mine? Scrypt, Scrypt-N, X11?
I am not sure where to mine, and what to mine. That is not a concern, but I simply want to figure out where to start.
is Scrypt-N better to mine than any other algorithm? Or is it X11, or even X13, or something else?
From there I can start to look into different coins for myself.

then I told you Coinshield (sk-1024)... and you talked about multipool anyhow scrypt/scrypt-n aren't the best at all

If you are going to go down the pool route, and if you run on Windows, you may want to consider Miner Control. It will switch to the most profitable algo based on the hash speed and power consumption of your setup. I find my matchine (2 x 750 Ti) spending most of its time on the X algos (X11, X13, and X15). If the miner devs have success getting NeoScrypt running in ccminer I think we'll see that one at the top of the list for a while as even mining through sgminer it has popped up on the radar from time to time.
