I like polls. Sometimes I like polling my mmm hmmm.
My momma said life's like a box of chocolates. Sometimes soft and hot 'n squishy is ok, they still can be 'et.

Summary of poll post.. Wahhh wahh wahhh.. multipoll.. wahh wahh wahh.. multipool bad people.. We must vote to stop the bad people! Much tears and gnashing of teeth.

Only a select few are supposed to be mining ARG and I did not get the memo. Damnit Flound! It's your fault. How dare you mine coins. You have corrupted us all now and you shall be flayed for it I'm sure as soon as we can find our flayers.. or is it flayees?

No we'd be very happy to have you all mining ARG.....just not the way you are. It's simple. Your pool causes blocks to be found super fast. You can stay, and continue to mine a lot of blocks, and the diff will adjust quickly and the coin will be a stable income, and you will reap the profits as it rises in price (look at the week's chart).  OR, you can continue to hop on for 10 minutes, drive the diff sky high, force the rest of us to slowly grind away another 250 blocks (a VERY reasonable block retarget, UNLESS u throw 4000% more hash at it in 5 seconds).   And don't give me this crap about "another 400Mh" besides yours on the network.  Before your pool started hitting ARG the other day, the ARG pool hoppers totaled about 125Mh and we handled those spikes just fine.

Blame the actual cause of difficulty jumping not a pool that just makes it easier for us.  Seriously I did this way before multipool thanks to cc and coinwarz.  Every coin I mined while jumping spiked horribly in difficulty without multipool.  It will again if multipool stops.  Get over it.

LTC PPLNS time has been decreased to 4 hours.

My payouts for today's blocks after 8am Pacific were:

0.174479
0.176994
0.164946
0.13795

Adding up to 0.819364 in total.

Mining for 9 hours at 1800KH, this site says I should get .76875 LTC (2.05*9/24)
http://www.litecoinminingcalculator.com/index.php?khs=1800&diff=883.75646448&cdiff=883.75646448&fee=0

So, not a bad haul considering.  The reason it's higher than projected is due to the good luck of the non-multiport LTC pool today, since they found two blocks without the multipool.

Today's LTC payout would have been even higher if the orphan block we found had been valid.

I also didn't include block 389741, because it was found while the multiport was not on LTC, but there was also a very decent payout to multipool miners for that block due to the shares submitted before 4am.

I'm pretty new to mining so maybe I'm reading these numbers wrong, but it looks like cgminer is reporting ~140 Kh/s and cpuminer is reporting ~91 Kh/s, yet multipool is only reporting ~96 Kh/s total.

What am I doing/reading incorrectly?

Can someone explain how CoinChoose calculates profitability? As I write this, Noirbits has an Adj. Prof. of 452%. Seeing how high this is, I transferred my miners over to it figuring I could double my profit compared to the multipool. After a little while I calculated my estimated daily return at about 300 coins which would be worth about .016 BTC. Now DGC which is at 222% Adj Prof nets me 240 coins per day which are worth .108 BTC. Did I miscalculate something or is CoinChoose wrong?

Coinwarz mining calculator backs my results:

Noirbits:
http://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/noirbits-mining-calculator/?h=1900&p=500.00&pc=0.10&pf=0.00&d=2.46766995&r=20.00000000&er=0.00005501&hc=0.00

Digicoin:
http://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/digitalcoin-mining-calculator

I think I see the problem, Coinchoose has the difficulty wrong by one digit. It's supposed to be 2.4 not 0.24. Does that make sense?

Once in awhile coinchoose has a coin or two get stuck I believe do to the block explorer hanging.

I also find that their adjusted profitability is quite off from my real world mining results for certain coins.

OK, tonight, when we were on LKY, I saw one of my GPU's solve a block.  The difficulty was 46.6K and I found
a block of 94K or something.  It even said BLOCK found in cgminer or whatever it says.

I go to the page https://www.multipool.in/stats.php?curr=lky and I don't see myself (Evolutionary) listed as a solver
at all.  Did my block get counted, or did it get orphaned or something?

EDIT: I can't find it in the List of last 30 LKY blocks found, but if I go down and click All Blocks Found - LKY, I
find my name in there.  Don't quite understand this but there it is.

It always seems to disconnect me via stratum on these crapcoins with 1 second blocks (OK I'm exaggerating, but
the point stands).  Hopefully the coin is worth so much at that time it is still worth it.

Yes - the public block explorer for Noirbits was not updated and so the difficulty was wrong.  My fault for trusting the block explorer Smiley
