Hard to say. I think that a crash of all the Alts doing well right now might happen somewhere near the future.

However, as someone already stated in this thread, Ethereum was a big thing this year. I also think that XVG (Verge) and SC (Siacoin) have a lot of potential and are undervalued right now. Also think and feel that STEEM and Stratis will rise more in the future.

Don't buy Wagerr if you love to punch your own chest and kick your own ass! Lazy to write why. Just study it yourself. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1911583.0 Don't do it too quickly before the ICO finished, so that you'll remember and love me forever!

I can't decide one but my bets are with Bitcoin, Ethereum and NEM. There are actually too many good coins out there with promising technologies.

Not currently, but waves was a great opportunity to invest. It stayed under $1 for a long time without any pump. It has a potential for next years. You can diversify your capital, if you wish.

I think stratis is a very good pick for 2017.
Because it has all the ability to compete with ethereum.
It has also link with Microsoft.

For me its DMB Digital Money Bits.

30 000$ volume yesterday
3 exchanges where you can trade it in less than 2 weeks.
53 000$ market cap pretty low.
50 000 000 max supply 20 000 per day max more and 420 000 actualy supply.
Facebook coin with a dev answering private msg.
A nice Ann topic with people getting more and more involved.
Some pools that work well to mine it.
Working Wallet.
Airdrop, Bounty.

Pretty recent, low risk, nice possibilities.

Search for ICO's that will bring you profit in 2018; most of the coins are lost trains by now.

I'm not buying any of the larger cap alt coins at current prices - I think the price his hit a bubble for most coins and will likely hit a bearish period for a while - I'm adding in some lower orders just in case my suspicion is correct.

Are these holding ratios? I'd feel much more comfortable with way more than 5% BTC holding as its the base currency - I'm usually holding 40%-50% in BTC

No matter what you choose just stay focused and do not start panicking immediately when you see red on Bitcoinwisdom..This is crucial. You will find many threads here about CRASH and in this orchestrated attack you will win only if you hold no matter what is happening. It will recovers after all. Wink

I suspect you are right there - its about time we had a bear market for a little while - most alts have grown unsustainably over the last month or two - the market needs a little correction - I'm sure prices will be back up again soon though

BTC
UBQ
XMR
ARDR
RBX
ETC

Cause you got all bases covered. Ethereum's ($ETC) covered, stable enterprise ready Ethereum is covered ($UBQ)  and the reserve currency of safety ($BTC) is covered. Also have a security focused coin covered (XMR) for the growing dark market. Plus a little bit of experimental for large asymmetric bet ($ARDR,$RBX).

These are what I have researched. I hold some others as short term plays.

Has someone done extensive research on IOTA?
And even more interesting to me: Is there a real tech advantage of IOTA compared to Byteball?
Thanks to anyone that can answer.

Get educated about Bitcoin. Check out Andreas Antonopoulos on Youtube. An old but gold talk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rc744Z9IjhY

Daniel Schmachtenberger on The Meta-Crisis: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kBoLVvoqVY&t=288s One of the most important talks about the current state of this planet. Go check it out.

Not sure what are best to hold but these are what I am gonna hold:
Bitcoin (always, ever)
Waves (my fav)
LTC (I don't own now, but gonna buy in a month)
Verge (just small amount now, but I somekinda trust this one)
Sia (this one is the most risky to me, I will wait)
Bytecoin (this can make huge leap with good dev)
And Digibyte (this one is risky as well, I feel like these guys are good at marketing so I will try to hold)

Yesterday everything looked so terrible, when BTC start to fall dramatically and nothing happened. Prices recovers overnight. Alts will recover soon, like nothing happened.. And who is the winner, one who stayed calm. This is not first and certainly not last time this happening.
