What is in your opinion the best altcoin to invest in for 2017 and please add why. I'm holding Primecoins mostly. But take a look at AML BitCoin because it will seriously be a huge project. *** I do not recommend to invest in any mentioned coins without proper research, how it was launched, how it developed, community involvement, adoptionrate, price history and volume, etc. So do your own homework cause you're the ONLY ONE responsible for your funds. 2016 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1146310.02015 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=727004.0 2018: RISE

I'm got gonna say specific altcoins, but most of the well planned ICO tokens made their invstors earn a lot. You can check their price history before the altcoin dump happened.

You can invest in Bitchamps (BCS). BCS is a pretty good altcoin with professional dev team. BCS is a lending altcoin, currently it is selling ICO and buyers very fast in a few minutes. I've also invested a lot in it.

In my opinion it is smart to invest in bitcoin. The bitcoin price is increasing e its not constant, sovetime the price rises and other occasions the price fall down. But investing on bitcoin can be much profitable even it has higher risk because you have no idea when the price will increase or otherwise but ultimately many people are nevertheless profiting lots of money. emn
This thread is really only a few days away from fulfilling its function,as the end of the year approaches,so that maybe also the prices are at a very high point, maybe not the best time to make some investment, except for some options in particular,it's just a matter of taking a look but I'm afraid that every day that passes the year ends but on the other hand there is the restlessness and optimism that the new year could bring and we are practically one step away from the holidays,so if you do not want to risk too much maybe some of the top 10 it could be enough.

A good short term move could be on DOGE - The Chinese Year of the Dog is coming up - and number 18 (2018) is a Chinese lucky numbers and under Chinese superstition translates to 'definitely get rich' (according to google) - combine those factors with a highly superstitious nation and to me it feels like there is a good chance of a significant movement on the price. Chinese New Year is on 16th Feb this year, so just over 70 days...

did you draw any conclusions based on any research? Or are you also under the influence of Chinese superstition ?. Of course I understand that in many situations a person is guided not only by facts, but also by real premonitions that can be compared with Chinese superstition.

So you can really take up the project of the Chinese developers and make good money on this.

Hi, guys? any thoughts about Eltcoin and Steepcoin? I'm a small trader in mercatox, I'm newbie about trading altcoins, I don't have any idea about what coin should I buy with my 0.01 btc, then I end up buying Eltcoins. Do you have any thoughts about this coin? Is it a good project? It's price is currently 80 - 100 satoshi as of now.

If you're a newbie, don't use mercatox. It's not a good exchange. Second, eltcoin and steepcoin, I haven't even heard about both of them. Try to get real coins from coinmarketcap website. Some coins are useless.

Cardano (ADA) and Ripple are some penny stocks with great potential. IOTA also has a lot going for it.

Hello good peoples. I would like as many people to comment on how world governments regulations will impact the future of privacy coins.
Am loosing my enthusiasm for investing in privacy coins because I think governments regulation will be very harsh on them. Any comments to make me feel better? Hell any objective we'll thought out opinions will do. Au revoir!

If I were to pick only one, I guess it would be Decred. It lacks some marketing around this coin but it is a great coin if you research its purpose and benefits.

take a look to XSPEC. Soon, there will be an update that will have the stealth addresses the default. result? transactions will be anonymously by default, just by clicking "send". Also, because XSPEC uses PoS v3, staking will be anonymous too. you add to that the wallet already uses TOR + OBFS4 by default, you get the most anonymous coin in the market. XMR: $ 270 PIVX: $ 4 DASH: $ 750 XSPEC: 30 cents. 🤔🤔🤔🤔

This is where Spectrecoin (XSPEC) shines: No matter how the government tries to regulate privacy coins, this is one coin which is going to be completely anonymous and untraceable, so the government will have a real hard time enforcing any regulations on it. Coins that are not fully anonymous and untraceable, will bear the brunt of any enforcement attempts. Spectrecoin has native Tor integration, meaning it is running on Tor any time it is open, and your IP address is effectively hidden. It has the OBFS4 obfuscation protocol integrated, which makes it impossible to detect that it is running on Tor, enabling its use in Tor blocked countries. It employs ring signatures for transactional anonymity. An upcoming version that is currently under development will make stealth transactions the default (right now, they have to be manually selected), which will eliminate the chances of accidentally making a public transaction. There is a low power Android staking wallet on the roadmap, and the crowning glory will be the SpectreCash small remittance Android app, to facilitate 100% anonymous peer-to-peer transactions. Regulate that. At less than $1 per coin, Spectrecoin is currently a steal. As the roadmap gets implemented, this coin is expected to take off like a rocket; we are talking life changing potential for those who buy now and hold.
