The question was not about which exchanges this coin is listed on; it was about being accepted for use on Tor marketplaces, such as Alphabay for example.

Can anyone confirm whether it is true what this poster claimed, that every Tor marketplace requires multisig?  I have never accessed any of those, but I can see how incompatibility with Tor marketplaces could inhibit the adoption of a currency whose key selling point is anonymity/untraceability.

Tor markets are actually NOT the end game of xspec. The really big money is in the private peer to peer wallet being developed for android.
Spectre.Cash will allow this. I suggest you read the website, I warn you though, there's alot of info there....so take your time.

How does the PoS work?
If, say, i have an address with 10k XSPEC, does it mean that i should be getting extra 500 per year (5% inflation target), thus a 2.something XSPEC added every other day?
Tried to reverse engineer it, but things don't add up.

I think you got it right!  Smiley  You don't need to reverse engineer anything though, everything is open source! Cool

You might also want to ask your search engine about what Proof-of-stake is and how it works.

I've been getting way more per day than what adds up to 5% per year on the amount in my wallet, while staking 24/7... closer to 20%.

I could be wrong, but I believe the 5% is calculated on the amount of existing coins, but divided up equitably among wallets which are unlocked for staking, based on the percentage of total staked coins in each wallet.  If it were a straight annualized 5% of the coins in one's wallet while it is unlocked for staking, then an overall inflation target of 5% could never be achieved, because there is always a certain percentage of wallets, and coins, which are not available for staking at any given time.

Yes, that is right. 5% per year of the available supply is distributed among all nodes who are keeping their wallet online. With every block, the reward goes to one person who is currently online. Thanks for putting this right!

IT is more then that from m experience with 10k in coins you will get 2 coins very 3-4hours.If your staking 24 hours you should be getting 6 coins a day.I should start doing that by the way just afraid  the computer will  on fire are something  if i leave it on to long. Also afraid of hackers with my coins (yes i  know have a password but even that wont stop someone who knows what there doing),

It not be answer yet weather it better to have all your coins in one wallet staking or multi-able wallets .We thinks there a limit on staking when you hit a certain amount of coins No matter how much you have in a walltet i think 200k coins will stake the the same as a million coins   .Me thinks million coins  divided in 10 wallets will stakes more then1 millions  in one wallet .Graph below is how i think the staking work roughly

You must use the classic form, that is, download the wallet that corresponds to your device
(PC, MAC, WIN, LINUX, 32 or 64) and simply you handle it. It is an easy application to use.

How recently were the coins received in the wallet?  I have found that it takes roughly 24 hrs for recently received coins to begin staking.

All is well with her, she's out of the hospital already.
She has two programmers, working on the project.
Soon she returns with full capacity.

Even better jbg, the main xspec wallet and android app dev is back after enduring his own time with health problems.
The exchange prices you see now are starting to ease upwards double digits.....better get it while you can.

My Spectre wallet client refuses to sync the last 850ish blocks from 13 hours ago. The wallet has been running perfectly (and fully synced) for the past week or so up until now.

I've left it open for a few hours and it's got 7+ active connections to the SpectreCoin network, but it still won't finish syncing. Does anyone know of any solutions to get the wallet properly synced?

Thanks!

The Spectrecoin network, is working very well, (15 active connections to spectrecoin network) (my reading).
A practical solution, which gives results many times, is to close the wallet, then disconnect from the internet,
(one minute the router off) and start again.
