We have started the blockchain in earnest and there will be 17000 zero (0) reward PoW blocks before PoS will take over. This should be to a point past the end of the ICO and distribution. We have taken the slightly unusual step to start the network and the blockchain so that every investor or would be investor can get a "feel" for the network.

For the time being there is only zero value PoW blocks to enable the 1 SPEC 'proof-of-investment' transactions. We can work on the next update of the wallet as the network is running. And, yes, I know that there are runtime errors when you exit the Win wallet but this is purely due to a Windows DLL handling issue and does not in any way affect the functionality of the wallet.

We will have a block explorer up soon.

If you have made an investment you should expect to see 1 SPEC in your wallet soon.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

!! IMPORTANT UPDATE !!

If you have registered for an ICO account and you have been provided with a unique URL and registered your SPEC address and Bitcoin address, please PM me here or on Slack to update some details as soon as you can.
We have made a slight change to the user database and I need to verify and update some details. It's a minor issue that has been resolved so nothing to worry about. The network is running fine and we will start making the 1 SPEC payouts as soon as we  have updated the database.

ALSO:
Please always use the latest wallet version from GitHub: https://github.com/spectrecoin/spectre/releases

Please download v1.0.0.1 ASAP

Thank you!

We have almost finished with the native Tor integration and fully expect this to be in place before the end of the ICO. This means that the whole of the Spectrecoin network will run under Tor. The seednodes will be Tor only and the next release of the SPEC wallet will be Tor only. The Tor software will be built into the wallet so you will NOT need to install or run Tor as a service along side the SPEC wallet. This means that all communication on the SPEC network will go via Tor. This we suggest will make SPEC more secure and more anonymous than the other leading coins. We then have multiple layers of privacy / anonymity:

(1) Ring signatures
(2) Dual Key Stealth Addresses
(3) Native Tor implementation

Expect to see updates to the repo soon.

On another note. There is no minimum limit for the ICO and no relaunch or any burn of any coins. All the coins will be distributed to the investors, so if we have a few investors they will get a fat share of coins. Simple as...

Yes, right. There is no other way to do it. We will certainly not turn around at this stage. Good luck for some early investors I guess. There is no real risk of any adverse effects of this, except that you will regret not having invested once we are listed. ...or large investors dump some coins, spread them around. The end result is pretty much the same. At the end of the ICO, Spectrecoin will be out and listed and we will press on and complete our project. There is nothing that will stop us now in achieving what we set out to do. The adversity has made me more determined to complete this and also include new features.

At the end of the ICO we will have the most anonymous coins out there and you can get it anonymously as well. It's a win/win for everyone but people don't get it yet.

Hell of a coin concept.  Can you speak on the adversity you spoke of?

All I would say it that this is the second thread. We opened this new thread due to some valuable advice from trolls in the first thread.

Now, consider, we are using a trusted escrow - OgNasty - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=855778.0
Spectre is the most secure and anonymous crypto out there
No other crypto has confidential / anonymous transactions w/ ring-signatures, stealth and now native Tor support
We have already issued the currency and sent a few SPECs to early investors so we have already delivered the coin
We are the only ICO / coin to deliver a totally anonymous distribution
We are developing a first real-world Android app that will certainly attract attention
We will be listed at Bitsquare after launch and other exchanges

Invest in empty promises and slick ICOs (have you considered why some of the big ICOs are so slick? Have they done it before? Do they promise complicated business solutions?)
or invest in something real that exists here and now and that offers something nobody else does.

As we work towards the imminent release of v1.1 which will bring you the best anonymity of any cryptocurrency, we are happy to announce that we have completed the Tor integration.
Spectrecoin has therefore taken a step forward and beyond that of our predecessor.
In addition to the tried and tested anonymous transactions via ring-signatures and dual key stealth addresses SPEC now has a native Tor integration.

What does that mean?

Well, Tor (https://www.torproject.org/), has been integrated in the SPEC code base and all SPEC wallets will run under Tor only.
The seednodes will run under Tor only and so the whole SPEC network will run under Tor only.

So, in addition to making your transactions anonymous, your IP will be hidden as well.

This makes SPEC the most anonymous cryptocurrency network today, with better anonymity than Monero and Zcash.

You will see updates on GitHub in the next 2-3 days and a new wallets and seednodes running under Tor only.

The ICO is still running but slow. There is a good chance that you can grab a serious amount of SPEC for next to nothing.

The only difference is that we did something new that nobody else did and we will keep doing that. What other coin as a native Tor integration, ring signatures and stealth addresses?

ED: Shadowcash will soon copy us!

Thats the point though, except that, Dogecoin Dark or Verge as it's called now is not anonymous and do not use any tech to hide transactions. You can think of SPEC as Monero + Tor, so both confidential / anonymous transactions and hiding your IP.

One thing, your main programmer already made one clonecoin with pretty much no modifications. So i qm not exactly sure if you guys can really deliver up to your promises.
