what is the investigate result of this coin ,,,another Scam or not?

In my opinion: Not enough evidence to say Qtum is a scam. But there is enough proof to say they have a serious credibility-problem and to say they see no fault in Dai's past activities in Bitbay is most likely not helpful to get this on a legit path.

(...)
[2014-11-15 9:19:48 AM] Steven Dai: and we control 60% of the Total Bitbay..
[2014-11-15 9:19:52 AM] Steven Dai: that will be huge
[2014-11-15 9:21:18 AM] Gekko: how much total % we have now?
[2014-11-15 9:24:09 AM] Steven Dai: 1283BTC by myself and 500BTC by bob...i hold 0.44billion and i think that group hold about 0.19 billion..so we control about 0.63 billion together

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=850267.4610;wap2

If they move on and do an ICO it's still possible to get money and that this could turn out as legit. But the above in combination with a crowdsale of only 51%, plus it's a PoS-System - won't be easy.

Who scam the once - will scam again..... Don't trust in such team for real.... Just fire the Dai and all will be Glad

He is a co-founder, I'm not sure whether they(the foundation members) have right to fire him, many other co-founders can. There is no board there, fire a co-founder could be very difficult. And 1 million USD has invested on him already.

As if they would tell you the truth.  Roll Eyes

When there is a corruption at the very top, you can safely assume that many people were also involved in a planned corruption. They've already scammed $1 million out of the community.

You'll never be able to determine who of those remaining are not scammers.

Safer to assume they all are complicit and move on. Blacklist all their names from future projects, so there are consequences to working with scammers.

Sorry for the bag holders. Let it be a lesson to you to stop investing in bullshit. Any one can write up a whitepaper and make a fancy website with a lot of rehashed bullshit.

Why are you sorry? there is no bag holder yet since the ICO has not commenced. I think if Qtum team are transparent as they claim it is better to let DAI guy step down or take back sit in this project, if the issue of scam is still on his neck, I doubt this project will get any traction.

I don't ask because I believe to get the truth as answer. I ask because it's a very relevant question and the latest reactions are a little bit covering that fact and that both possibilities would be revealing.

A) If they would say they knew: That would be bad for sure, because the next question would be why they've started a project with somebody with such a past.

B) If they would say that they didn't know, they would say between the lines: "He also deceived us!" In that case it would be hard to explain why they will move on with him.

If you think about it: Very complicated situation out of their perspective and once they start the ICO - those questions will come for sure.

The rumors about a possible scam by some of the staff are too much to get my trust.

I'm still my stolen BTC from Bter.com

Sorry, I will not be involved in this project or funding.

well this can get real interesting i will be keeping an eye on it.
has anyone confirmed that roger ver is indeed an investor?

Its confirmed in a bitcoin.com article
https://news.bitcoin.com/smart-contracts-bitcoin-security-interview-qtums-patrick-dai/

Let me post it again:

I was on their slack and I think they are preparing a statement.

Having lost with Bitbay this comes close.
Although the conditions of this project are not good (49% for the team) the innovation can be something good. However which such a man who scammed so many users for 200 BTC this project can't take place.

Either he is kicked out (which is odd, him being the co founder) or the project is stopped or...
The project will be harrased by a lot of unhappy investors.

Not to mention unhappy investors: https://news.bitcoin.com/smart-contracts-bitcoin-security-interview-qtums-patrick-dai/

Qtum received backing from Roger Ver, the first investor in blockchain startups. Roger is a visionary, he saw the potential of Bitcoin before almost everyone, and he bet big on it. This gives us a lot of validation for our project. We believe our contributions will benefit the [Suspicious link removed]munity as a whole and illustrate that innovation is the key to growing.

Yea, I posted a comment and they immediately deleted it. It could have been worse, shame they don't have the balls to post the truth. Hey Roger, please read your email...

I believe qtum team should clarify this situation before anything. Also the fact that all this drama has shown up in such a critical moment is very relevant and will make lots of investors to abandon their idea of investing in the project.
Taking together the facts that Dai is being accused of various past scams and that the only 51% of coins are being sold in the ICO, the team should either remove him from the equation or lower founders coin% by not giving any to Dai.
And those who support this project as it is right now, despite being an innovative one, are either lunatic or know more than the average investor.
Not to mention that I read most of slacks chat today and Pateick was just really really bad at argumenting and defending himself. David Zimbeck was also not very clear and his speech was confusing me. Nevertheless Dai does not seem free of guilt at all.
Just my opinion.

Chat logs can be very confusing. Unlike most of you, I lived through it and had a lot of money invested. Dai should NOT be trusted, period. Do what you will but remember that one fact if nothing else. Good luck.

Because it is Steven Dai. He knows very well how to scam bitcointalk investors. If the project was that good, the investors would probably bought them out and keep for themself.
Which is why they can only sell 49%. A very odd number.

What suprises me though is the fact, another victim of Steven came forward today:
https://soundcloud.com/physibles/interview-with-elmerlin-about-patrickdai-aka-stephendai-from-qtumofficial-qtum-bitbayofficial

And Brett/ Earlz/ John decided that the ICO will commence as planned.

How sad? I do  understand that they will lose their job without an ICO and hence they keep defending Steven. But with so much evidence, this Steven Dai is the "Hitler" of ICO"s
Why risk a venture which is doomed for failure because your boss is a famous conman/scamartist??

this is just fudder attack or scam detected?

To be fair, folks are just getting at the truth. Personally, I'm being kind, else Full Gleb would be in play. Can't speak for others posting about Mr. Dai et al. I didn't like posting about RV's involvement, even requested some other via PM to post, but during the interim the time came for me to act.

Hope that helps in your assessment, bud.

Oh, and Team Qtum has been cool about not deleting posts in this self-moderated thread (as far as I know).

you have a nice point.

this is more like a personal attack.

seems bitbay team want to pump their price. i will buy some bitbay incase they pump it.

How sad are you.. All they want to do is to prevent other investors/people to become a victim of this man Dai. Who has become a serial scammer now.

BTW your boss, this Dai person, is reading this too, so you may want to do a better job, else he will scam you too.

The evidence is so obvious, if there are still some investors trust this project, OK, let them invest, but they will cry loudly in the end.

If anybody understands Chinese, how does Mr. Dai introduce him in this video? http://www.wanbizu.com/xinbi/Qtum/201701048625.html

http://www.8btc.com/roger-ver-qtum

Quote
In the past, the establishment of the European Pacific Square Conference, qtum quantum chain founder Shuai early announced a good news, "Bit coin Jesus" Roger Ver is also a quantum chain of concern and investors. When talking about quantum chains, Roger commented: "Qtum is definitely one of the projects everyone should be keeping their eye on." (Qtum quantum chain worth everyone's attention.)

Did Roger Ver know that Shuai early is Patrick Dai?
