The answer is obvious - the countries are afraid that Bitcoin will destroy their economy.
And usually those are countries that don't have such a great economy to begin with. Bitcoin is decentralized and government wouldn't have control over it and therefore people could use bitcoin to avoid paying taxes. That' my opinion tho.

It is because they don't want people to avoid the centralization the government. And if ever they will realize that there is something like this, the people will badly get interested into it and will start to have some thinking to stop being manipulated by the government. And that's why they are faking news about bitcoin, like for being illegal.
most of the developing countries of africa or asia or even europe don't even know about any of the crypto currency. i don't think this is the cause of that many countries don't support this. the main is lack of education and trust on online currency but i think by the time this will be overcome.

In my country the government was not giving care about bitcoin too much. Even as far as i know while i am Participating actively as a citizen, I was not finding a ban on bitcoin or support for bitcoin by the government. So many peoples have lack of knowledge about bitcoin as a result the fans of bitcoin only in low amount. That's can be one of many reasons why bitcoin not supported in some countries.

The answer is obvious - the countries are afraid that Bitcoin will destroy their economy.
As simple as that, the governments are afraid they would lose relevance and control of the people and economy should they allow Bitcoin to come mainstream. Most countries would have banned Bitcoin well before now, but it turns out the few that experimented with banning Bitcoin are now the wiser that banning something that is borderless and free is not the easiest task.

They dont support bitcoin because they saw that its a threat to them on their governance and also they already knew that bitcoin cant be controlled and impose tax on it and afraid that taxation would be really be affected and also crime rate would increase because of bitcoin because it might increase the hidden transactions on doing illegal things and this is only the thing i know but overall bitcoin is really useful if you dont use it on bad thing. [/quote] In the same vein, some government would not want the fiat to quit quick, because its production and the use by banks has a lot to do for their selfish pockets. i believe they can have a way of having theirs in the case of taxation- like having some deduction. more so many of our old leaders feels most online transactions are closest to scam.

Why bitcoin is not accepted in some country is that they have never understand the bitcoin or they may think that bitcoin will overthrow theit local currency. But i may say that in most of those countries maybe they have not internet connection. They need someone to break it down to their understanding.

I have heard that bitcoin is not supported in some countries. But why ? Is it because bitcoin is risky ? Some countries even declare 6 months jail if her people use bitcoin. Is it fair ? I mined few cryptos and have left mining. It was fun and challenging too. But I never got any clear answer. What does my gpu actually do ? I pay electric bill, my room temperature goes high and I get paid. With actually no skill on pc hardware and software. Whole thing is still pretty unclear to me
Some countries fear bitcoin that it would be used for illegal activities and they would not be able to control it.Just like china and russia tried to ban bitcoin at first, they too are discussing on the possible ways to ban bitcoin but sure they would drop their plans as china and russia did. What they could do is that only they could regulate bitcoin.Banning bitcoin is impossible since banning internet is impossible. That, I think, is not a valid reason to ban bitcoin since fiat is also used for illegal activities. No one can dictate people on how they will use their money, or bitcoin, so being used illegally is not the fault of bitcoin and thus not a valid reason to be banned in the first place. On the other hand, I would agree that the government fears bitcoin because they cannot control it. What government would want that, right? The government wants to govern, control, rule so introducing bitcoin to them would make them step back. However, since many are using and accepting bitcoin nowadays, they do not have a choice but to accept bitcoin also. They just have to gain benefit from bitcoin and would not let bitcoin surpass fiat in their country or it will be chaos.

You are wrong, in Asia bitcoin is already well known and in fact they are one of the contributors of the market. And in Europe, since it is a very big continent and most of the countries there are rich, I know that many are already supporting bitcoin there. But in Africa I don't have an idea if they will adopt it very soon.

I think the main reason why some countries are not supporting bitcoin is due to the fact they are trying to avoid people using it for money laundry, and you said it yourself governments have no control over its network not so ever and the people using bitcoin are completely under the grid and have their identity concealed so they can use it like they want, for gambling drugs and other illegal stuff. Right now there are three types of countries the ones who reject bitcoin therefore reject development, others who accepts it and see the future in it and others who are neutral and still don’t even know what it is.

The main reasons why some countries doesn't want to legalize bitcoin is because of it's volatile price in the market. And it's anonymous feature that you cant track where the payments came from or a person's source of income.
Yes, many are afraid that in a few years he may disappear and do not want to bother. And they want to keep track of all operations. The reason the government does not legalize bitcoin is not due to fluctuations of bitcoin But decentralization. It makes the government can not control bitcoin. That's the main reason dude

Bitcoin is anonymous government will not allow bitcoin to be a digital currency basically if they do that they are allowing illegal transantions in there country ofcourse they will not allow a currency that cost a lot of dollars we cannot afford such a high amount.
It will be the same. Even if it is expensive if the cost of living is being equaled to bitcoin and dollar then there wont be a problem. Example you want to buy a television worth $200 dollars then you will just need .2bitcoin. There would be no difference just the name of the currency and it will be digital.

I think is because the user is still little, if use of the bitcoin massive and many residents are transact with bitcoin, then the Government will immediately approve bitcoin as payment alternative.

The main reason is that the big banks of those countries can't control it, so they buy government support against it.

BTC is not supported in majority of the countries because they dont treat it seriously and dont want to take any risk by investing in them. this thought must be avoided and it must be taken into account that bitcoin is not a joke and an actual currency which can be used worldwide without any problems only if recognised by all

What I mean about that is one of the main reason that it is not being supported by the government is they are considering it as a threat to their economy whoch is true tax evasion and money laundering to name a few in which Bitcoin can make it easier. Also they don't expect that there will be a lot of users even if they accept Bitcoin in their country.

In addition, in every other country, specifically my own country, bitcoin is completely free without affecting anything to the government. I am interested in this, even though my country is very backward.

Some countries fear of the taxation and some fear of the controllability as this is entirely a pseudo anonymous which can be tracked to some extent.

Some Countries don't want Bitcoin to survive because the Government of those Countries want their fiat to stay valuable to the citizens that are living there. If Bitcoin gets larger while the people that that are using it decide on not using Fiat anymore then the Government will see that their bank notes aren't circulating fully and will more than likely try to adopt Bitcoin while trying to get most of the supply before any other Government of a Country does.

Right now Bitcoin is no threat to the majority of currencies, so most governments prefer to either ignore it or don't reveal their true attitude toward Bitcoin and declare their neutral stance in public. But when it starts used for real (personally, I expect that it will happen when instant transactions finally come about), they will have to act and we may not quite like their actions
