Lets Vote for relaunch coin.

I for relaunch.

Loss of one day is better than waiting a week. better than to give the fraudsters to profit at the expense of us.

who agrees?

If you want a relaunched Pascal coin my advice is to try TurboPascal instead which launched today. They got the 1.4.3 wallet installed which should fix that issue.

I didn't get in until late, so I guess my question is this:

If adaseb isn't going to work on the coin anymore, isn't it not worth mining now? I think he said it did it just for fun. Maybe scratch this one and start a different one? Just some thoughts...

Isn't the whole point to get the coin on an exchange so others can buy/sell that don't want to mine it?  If dev work won't continue, I guess I don't see the reason for relaunching.

I'm not going to abandoned this coin , if there are any mandatory updates that need to be performed and no other developer has volunteered I will do so. Same with keeping the nodes up and running.

But also keep in mind that this is purely a clone coin. I only released it so no other developer would release a Pascal clone and try to scam people. There really isn't going to be anything innovative about it. Mostly copy and paste work from the original PascalCoin.

In the past clone coins don't really differ that much from their originals. This was released mostly for fun.

Great! I would definitely volunteer to help, but I'm far from being a dev. What else could I do to help out? Do we need more nodes/servers up and running?  If so, I could do that.

What are the plans for the 1.4.3 update?  Looks like they are having issues with upgrading to it.

Build the PascalCoinWallet instead of the PascalCoin_Daemon.

Daemon is only for the Ubuntu Server I think.

Yes a node would really help, currently only have 1 main node running and would be great to have another.

Basically when someone runs the wallet for the first time it connects to that main node and then gets IPs of other running nodes but if for some reason that main node is down and someone runs the wallet for the first time it won't connect anywhere.

If you have AWS EC2 account there is a free tier for a year where you can host a node on a Windows server.

Regarding 1.4.3, I will wait and see how PascalCoin dev handles it first. Wait then a day or so and if it goes smoothly i'll do the exact same.

FAQ 01

FAQ 01 -> Lazarus does not compile with Linux (example: file "interfaces" not found or missing)
Explanation: In a fresh Ubuntu 16.04.1 (perhaps other versions too) with Lazarus 1.6 (downloaded and fresh installed) you cannot compile Pascal Coin (and not any other Pascal program)
This is because you must build the Lazarus core.
Solution:

Open Lazarus and close all projects
Go to menu "Tools" > "Configure Build Lazarus"
Select Profile to build "Clean Up+ Build all"
Click to "Build"
Lazarus will build itself and reboot
Open Lazarus again and see if you can compile without "interfaces" file error
If not, then try again to build Lazarus selecting other Profile to build options (Perhaps "Debug IDE")
If not... sorry... google search ;-)

You can't mine with a CPU anyone on Pascal. It was removed shortly after GPU miners were released. You can try OpenCL with your CPU but will be very slow.

It was better to relaunch it, too many cheaters that got all the blocks and the bug is still there for them to exploit it, not that i was thinking this coin has any chance without any real new feature, but it could have been better and do something at least like all the variant classic we have, etheruem and zcash, that did good

Read my prior post

I'm not going to abandoned this coin , if there are any mandatory updates that need to be performed and no other developer has volunteered I will do so. Same with keeping the nodes up and running.

But also keep in mind that this is purely a clone coin. I only released it so no other developer would release a Pascal clone and try to scam people. There really isn't going to be anything innovative about it. Mostly copy and paste work from the original PascalCoin.

In the past clone coins don't really differ that much from their originals. This was released mostly for fun.

If your account is less than a year old you should have a free tier instance. You can use that.

Cheaters? You just weren't in time when difficulty was low. You want more coins!!!
P.S. When I have 1/20 of hashing power I catch up 1/20 of all blocks during 1 day (+-) and I am not a cheater, and even don't know how to cheat.
