Update: Order Status Change, future Refund Requests

Order Status Change
Today, the order status of our three remaining batches changed to 'Prepare-shipping', hope this means we'll see the chips soon.

Future Refund Requests
I have been contacted by several users who missed the refund window. I am not sure if the changed order status implies that no refunds will be accepted any more. Anyhow, I'll need to collect enough requests to reach a threshold to ask for a refund of a full batch. Therefore, if you're absolutely sure that you don't need the ordered chips any more, feel free to place a refund request after the given process. I will add your request to the pending queue and ask for a refund, as soon as there is enough demand. Consequently, this means that your request is binding, i.e. can be served at any time, while at the same time it is not guaranteed, i.e. if refund is not processed, you will get your chips delivered.

That's for the news. Thank you all for your kind words and your positive trust ratings.

Any news on the remaining batches for those of us who didn't cancel?

There was a promise of many many batches of chips to be received by Avalon this week past.

Of course, by now I should be used to the lies of Avalon, but I live in hope.  I'm just glad my order was tiny, relatively speaking. I want my bitburners more as a historical curio rather than as a money-printer.

Beware the weak hands!

No news.

Not sure if I can ask for a refund for a batch in 'Prepare-shipping' mode will be accepted, but if delivery takes longer than the queue needs to grow beyond 10k, I will at least try.

Screw these Avalon guys.  I would have liked to receive my bitburners, they are giving up and just refunding all orders, leaving all the hardware buyers and vendors with crap. At the same time pushing GEN 2 chips, you would have to be crazy to order from them again.  I am pulling the trigger and requesting a refund, I suggest the rest do as well.

Hm, difficult to interpret whether BitSyncom suggests everyone left with orders to ask for refunds.

Anyhow, our group-buy has three batches pending for delivery, and so far the refund request queue is somewhere at 2k chips. I can't just request refund for a batch at will unless enough users ask for it. Ball is at your side.

I'm willing to bet that if you set up a way for us to easily (and with organization) request a refund, you'd get plenty of requests.

For now, I'd like to request a refund for my 60 chips.

Order from batch 4: https://blockchain.info/tx/48669b0f91d5f9acf9565c5303dd253bacdd67399f14db0b040576721040c246
Order from batch 7: https://blockchain.info/tx/29b0fe7e6e3cb31ae029b4755e05b8d71304e369d74cd672ccd05cd70c673e1f

I hope burnin will be issuing refunds for non-built mining boards. Guess I gotta do some digging through hundreds of pages of posts =(

Hodl for the longest tiem.

Given this news im voting for a refund of any non-shipped Gen1 Avalon chips. There's the possibility they can be purchased from Avalon's on hand stock in a few weeks time at a lower price, plus the Gen2 chips will be backwards compatible. Either way it makes no sense to take delivery of the Gen1 chips at the original pricing.

This logic actually makes a good deal of sense. I was planning to wait out the gen1 delivery but the last avalon "update" makes me wonder if the chips even exist or are coming.

The only open issue is the miner building folks (burnin and others) and will they even support the avalon gen2 in light of events with gen1.
