A bear doesn't talk big bear words on the forums if he hasn't already sold.
A lot of bear talk lately => a lot of people are short => ...
And inversely a lot of bull talk, a lot of people are in long positions; all in. And so you might think that this place is an counter-indicator. But the reality is that the market makers are not here at all, and this forum is right exactly 50% of the time. The big whales we're so fond of talking about aren't wasting their time in an internet forum.

You're right, a lot of bears writes about BTC for $ 30. Who found downtrend as the first, sold it for $ 130 - 150 That's why I always say change ahead of us, but I'm not sure whether up or down. Definitely I'm not saying that Bitcoin will definitely a 30 and that left everyone. Demand at 80-50 is still huge ... A lot of Bitcoin is in "strong hands" that will not sell it. It's maybe different than in 2011. Edit: Each bear needs someone to sell below than himself, and each bull needs someone who buys higher than he, otherwise the trend reverses I will admit I was extremely lucky, I sold a bunch of Casascius Coins at 1.65 x BTC current market value at $131.80. It was a cash transaction and by the time I got home to deposit funds and move them back to the exchange the price was dropping and fast. I held and have only bought what I needed for projects. Well that and played a few bounces, but like I said I got lucky on that sale.

Am I wasting my time trying to understand this without 3D glasses? Would like to know what point of the post is my reason for asking.

Not enough activity in here so to get things rolling again... Any credence to our triangle we will solve in around 48 hours following the breakdown observed on Bitstamp? We are trading over 7% higher on Gox at this time, a price not followed on any other exchanges? Is it possible the price is being kept artificially higher on the high volume exchange? Why?

All the other exchanges are around 90 but gox is 97, this is standard since they stopped USD outgoing wires. Arbitrage is no longer possible since OKPay and others have stopped working with Bitcoin. So to transfer would take days or someone would need cash in other accounts, which would dry up, be slow to fund, and have fees to fund. There is less selling on gox because withdrawals have to wait indefinitely(or a week?). So the only selling pressure is from speculation or people willing to wait a long time for withdrawals because of the higher price. That is my take on it.

http://www.coindesk.com/what-to-expect-at-bitcoin-london-2013/Ok, so why have we not seen an increase in price on all the other exchanges? Because for many the only way to withdraw fiat from Gox - is to withdraw BTC from Gox and sell for other exchanges. There's so little of proposals purchase , a kind of dumping for the down in price other exchanges (collusion to buy coins for less of the market) it works this way, not vice versa, as everyone here speak IMHO

People transfer fiat to and from other exchanges all the time,

I'd be a lot poorer if I couldn't transfer between exchanges.
