Who is going to ban Bitcoin first, China(HongKong) or Canada?

According to some insiders this is just a protection measure due to the fact that Canada will ban Bitcoin completly in the next 4 weeks Embarrassed

Give me a break. What "insiders" have said this? How would CAVIRTEX have this information yet other companies don't?

We do have a terrible, autocratic government right now that rules by fiat (no pun), so I guess anything is possible. Plus CAVIRTEX did talk in front of Parliament, so perhaps a source they met there informed them.

Shit, now you have me worried.

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

I just had to click on the quote link to see who "canadian_bitcoiner" was.

Seems it was you and you changed the name in the quote. Pathetic. Troll harder.

Next page, please...

I cringed hard at reading this one.

Only by fully immersing ourselves in the cringe & fail that is this thread can we attain enlightenment.

Tantric monks know that evil & cringe & fail of this earthly plane must be intimately [eww!] experienced to be fully transcended.  I mean, they fuck corpses and ...do other gross shit.  Putting up with aspy libertards & Bitcultists is mild in comparison.
Well, i mean OK, maybe not mild... let's just leave it at "different."

There are two types of useless leeches in here. The ones that bought bitcoin at single digits and want to maximize their profits and the ones that bought at over $700-$1000 (example: Elwar) and are looking for a chance to recover maybe half of their stupid investments. The rest don't care about bitcoin. They just day trade for the almighty dollar.

We're still quite democratic and reasonably nice (we've never started a war, but we've never lost one either) but the current Regressive Conservative regime can be a little un-Canadian at times.

Even Heil Harper won't ban Bitcoin to appease his corporate buddies though, unless he does so to toady up to his political bosses in Washington D.C., but the US government doesn't show any signs of being anti-Bitcoin. Yet.

Hopefully we'll get a more progressive government in the next federal election.

Canada won't ban it. Even if they did people would tell the government to go fuck themselves.

Exactly. We don't let our politicians push us around. If they did try to ban it, the courts would hopefully tell them where to go.

Even if the law stood, they can't put a cruiser outside every public hotspot in Canada.

Besides, people could simply take their encrypted keys offshore.

the sweat from the fiat bag holders is so palpable it's almost dripping out the bottom of my computer ...
this slow grind higher must be torture sitting on interest and red short positions, worrying about a violent breakout movement that stops you out altogether?

Damn! I got a bag of fiat. Think I'm gonna buy a little moar.

EDIT: done. I feel better, but I'm gonna keep some powder dry. Bitcoin is behaving and it makes me nervous the way quiet kids do.
