I highly doubt that this time there will even be enough bidders for all 50k coins if the price is >100$
They struggled to find enough last time. Market is saturated.

http://www.forexminute.com/bitcoin/us-marshals-report-less-bidders-latest-bitcoin-auction-51309

The first auction took place in June of this year following the arrest of Silk Road operator Ross Ulbricht.  The opportunity to bid on 30,000 of the once anonymous drug leader’s personal bitcoins seemed too good to pass up for over 40 different digital currency enthusiasts, who placed an approximate 63 bids.  According to the USMS, the second auction witnessed a massive drop in participation, with only 11 registered bidders placing a mere 27 bids, many of which were under-market.

Few people use bitcoin as a currency in retail transactions, most of them hodl like fools and lose money (turning bitcoin (that should be a currency) into a musical chairs pyramid scheme):

The trolls are out in force today. They are trying to soften up the market so they can buy in cheaper. I hope it works.

The reality is that I will always have more coins than you clowns no matter what the price because I am willing to pay more for them. You may have a better ROI. Good for you. It's not a zero sum game. Every short has to cover at some point. I can hold until the brothel your mothers work at start accepting bitcoin.

You don't have any ROI as long as you hold. It is just paper profits. There is still time to cash in 200 percent, but your greed is blinding you.

Line breached. Going to retest $215-$220 pretty soon.

It's just a matter of time before it crashes again.

In my experience, such lines can be tested like this without completely being broken...

Let's see if we can get a couple solid closes below the trend line (if we get an stay below 1440 IMHO).

The bidders would try to keep price low till the March 5.

That´s what bullscammers tried to tell us during the last 2 auctions....
We all know what happened to the price in the months after the auctions..  Sad Sad

right after the auction the prices recovered.
Took some time to prices fall again, enough for profit taking

Just wait for the 200.000 coin distribution to all MtGox creditors... that's when it will start to get really interesting

They struggled to find enough last time. Market is saturated.

There may be even more bidders this time, but it does not mean that the price will be higher.

In auctions of other stuff, there are often "bargain hunters", who bid well below market; their chances are low, but if they win they can make a good profit by re-selling immediately.

Interest may have been low for the second auction because the first one was grabbed by Tim Draper, probably at close to market. The bargain hunters  must have assumed that the same would happen in the second auction, so they did not bother to bid.  But the outcome of the second auction (fewer bidders, winner was a syndicate of small bidders), and the general perception that Tim Draper made a bad deal, suggests that the next one may close well below market.  So the bargain hunters may show up en force now.

I guess the payout ratio will be very low, still I will certianly dump mine as soon as I have them... Hope they hurry up... it is a shame they haven't sold already.
