Just waiting for people to come to their senses and BTC will be coming back up... I think people are over reacting to FUD and fear of the unknown
Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

It pains me to say this:

I sold my trading trading stash of BTC before the ETF, guessing it would not be approved.

I then set up buys on stamp with the money to catch the sub-1000 drop I expected (which I was flabbergasted did not happen immediately).

Then in the past couple of days with all the HF stuff flying around, I changed my mind, cancelled the buy orders and took the cash off Stamp completely.   I see no reason to get back in as long as the existential threat to BTC of a contentious fork is out there.

There was nothing to push up the price after the ETF rejection and the storm which has blown up since is a complete turn off.  Of course it has tanked.

Yes, I am keeping my cold stored BTC and I am keeping my XMR (my only other substantial investment in crypto).  But any extra cash I have will not go into BTC - not until this shit storm is over.  It's just too risky.

And I have been here and a perma-bull for fucking years.

Sorry guys, but I am not chasing dead cat bounces and praying it will not go lower.  I will let someone else have the 'cheap coins'.

Bitcoin needs to sort it's shit out, or the bull run is over and and BTC (already struggling to stay over 70%) will become less and less important in the CC market.

We will. You can buy in triple digits this weekend! BTC will drop 100 EUR more. I hope its cheap enough then.

You want to make a bet? This will not happen imo.

So, did you get it this time Adam? Bought the bottom?

From the looks of it you have to be extremely fast to buy at under 1100.

Who sold at the bottom? Cheesy

Bottom at $1210 because of maximum FUD? Not bad. Even BTC-e is above Finex.

Anywhere below 1150 was way oversold. If I understand things correctly everyone tried selling at the exact same time pushing the price tremendously down, but only briefly. Now that the sellers are done it is only natural for the price to come back up.

Wow, such wrong. How can you live with yourself? And why are you so concerned with other people's action in whether they sold or bought?

Actually lost money when i was buying at $1090 cause I thought that was the bottom.
Bought more this morning at $1020 then got f'd again when it dropped literally 5 minutes after buying to below $990. Roll Eyes
A total of $93.97 lost just for trying to buy bitcoin at the drop with in a 12 hour period is very sad for me right now. Cry

Your talking about 90 dollars ?? are you serious ? In my opinion if 90 dollars is a hard hit for you better just stick with your day job and not dabble in this sort of something

Ya really, I've lost more than that in the last 24 hours on ZEC,, sold coins at 45 thinking it was near top, and this morning its been hitting at 72.00 ish....

If we only had a crystal ball  Grin

Yeah, Bitcoin is finished, done, kaput.

I mean just look at that piss poor hashrate difficulty over the last 12 months.

Miners are dropping like flies. The price will never recover. /s

Ridiculously oversold...I think it will bounce back now. Already over 1000$ at stamp as I write this. Question is if this was all of it. We might be drawing a proper handle for our 3 year cup now after all.

People think that a fork is imminent. First of all, none of the big pools are going to switch to producing bigger blocks until they have at least 51% of the hash. Probably a lot more. The way BU works is that it will eventually go for the longest chain. If any of the big pools start mining bigger blocks with less than 51% of the hash, they'll end up mining a lot of orphans. You think they are that stupid?
All the core team needs to do is introduce a block increase as well as Segwit and everyone will kiss and make up.

This question might sound stupid but I have been an investor never a miner .

If the fork would damage the price that much why would the miners go massively to it ? Wouldn't it affect their revenue? Or does people like Vinny Ligham overreact to the effects of an eventual HF?

It's a power play by the pools. From what I understand, the big pools made an agreement some time ago to accept segwit if the core team also made serious efforts to also increase the block size. They are just trying to force the Core team's hand to do what was agreed to.

It is very difficult to find anyone that will discuss BU or Segwit. I wish there was more discussion about it but nobody has an opinion for one or the other.

If we pass $1200 again, pack your space suits.

I think we correct to between $1080 and $1160 now

I admit I got over emotional. Probably because I have almost all my net worth invested in bitcoin and was living the dream because of the high prices we got lately. Dream is ruined at this time. Tongue
