...

I fully expect a flash crash back to around ~1638Y (50% fib retrace), or even lower to ~1446Y (78%).....this likely won't last long but it would be worthwhile to place some buys at these levels and move them up as the price increases.

He may be onto something.

Update:
“The law has not caught up with technology,” says Lee “I want China to reevaluate its laws so we can classify Bitcoin as something so government can regulate it.”

“We want to build a company that will last 100 years,” continues Lee. “When I went to Stanford I knew Internet was here to stay. And Bitcoin is same. The Internet was hard to use at first. Computers didn’t have browsers in the early 90s. You had to know FTP and Telnet. The AOLs, Googles and Yahoos made the Internet usable. We want to be that, to make Bitcoin more usable.”

People said this in April too; the rise is still too fast.

A 10-25% drop that lasts for 1hr is insufficient.

Anyone else pick up some cheap coins off Coinbase?  Bitstamp dropped all way the way to $299 and I managed to grab 10 @ $305.

No, I dont get why people think all movement means whale. Its a bunch of small-medium players selling, not a whale.

A whale move is obvious. Like mr. 10k wall the other day.

I Think Mr 10k wall was meeting someone at that price to sell. Someone had a deal that if it breaks ATH, put up your 10k coins and I'll buy it all. Someone like user:Loaded, who showed back up in this forum about this time, would be behind something like this. Most whales buy over time on an exchange to not cause a panic buying spree, they will buy off exchange, or sell off exchange, or over time to not cause slippage. They are a whale for these reasons. I agree these dumpers are medium sized coin and fiat holders. I'm not going to lie, if I had the coinage to move the market, and maybe gain an extra 10-20% on my holdings, I would do it.

I just wish new users would not panic, and maybe lose some of their own coins at a loss.

Interesting theory, but why would they use an exchange? Or, if they did, why Gox and not something smaller?

Totally unsure of what I'm going to wake up to tomorrow...

$400? $500? $200?  Huh

Need Walsoraj' guidance.

Wow, today has been REALLY rocky, even by Bitcoin standards.

Seriously, each one of those "big-wicks" is almost 10% of Bitcoin's value. It's done that like 4 times already.
