Well that was weird. Looks like it was a one-hit-wonder by the bears, though, we're on our way back up again.

Place your bids now, maybe you will get lucky.  Roll Eyes
Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

I've made $3,800 in 10 days just by devouring this and a few other super threads morning and night and every available stealable moment.  I've stared mesmerized not infrequently paralyzed at chart movements, volume changes, ask sums, all the neat stuff.  This is the life for me! (OK, a lift from the rum and carrots guy). Oh, and I would have made $7,500 had I done none of the above.
End of Thread.

The unloading phase is done in segments. This allows more buyers to enter, giving the market mover a maximally efficient price for his original holdings.

Buyers are starting to appear...

Or course they are - asks are very thin so you can rise the price quite a lot on thin volume.

Sell 1000's and bring the price right back up again for a small amount of cash - just a few 100 BTC sometimes.

Then wait - more suckers will come with their bids. Then dump again. This is how it happens.

You got it... Smiley

China is waking up and when they see the price so low they might start selling like crazy. The bear could have made a timing mistake.

I'd say he timed it right if he sold and is looking for cheap coins.

Inspiring anyone to sell like crazy is done to buy much cheaper.

That was a totally normal retrace....L4 = 61.8%....actually it is very healthy, good to see some people taking profit.

Theoretically, how many coins would it take to induce such a move? Is it likely one entity or is it multiple colluding?

yo haha i just got goxxed with some latent order that was in the engine even though it was cancelled and didn't show up on my order list for sale at 349.99

I think a whale screwed up and did a market buy that raised his price too high and i sold the btc i just bought for 305, cause he promptly put up 600 ask wall at 245 or something right when my order went off, i was pissed cause I just increased my btc and got goxxed, but then the price tanked and i bought back in with more fiat

Anyway the name of the game is forget about USD value and increase your bit coins during these times

Edit: special thanks for the seller at 305
