Yeah but how do you get this in prescription without getting type 2 diabetis? its indicated for prediabetes too. just need more or less consistently high(ish) glucose and A1C values in your labs. which a pretty large chunk of probably Americans have, due to obesity and poor eating habits.. i believe its off label for weight loss also. dunno if typical insurance covers that though.

What do vegans have against eating eggs though? IF the chickens were kept in a wide place outside, ate healthy food, and were not abused in any way?
Chickens lay eggs regardless of if fertilised or not. So whats the problem?
Billions of male chicks pop out as a side effect of egg production no matter how jolly their mothers are. Said male chicks live for a few hours before being stuck on a conveyor belt and fed into a shredder.

If you think about it, some cows were raised to be food. Sure they lived in claustrophobic conditions, but they were fed well, nurtured, and didn't have to work a day in their whole short lives. They also suffer almost no pain when butchered, because some countries have laws on that. There are some vegetarians who are lacto-ovo-vegetarians, they still eat eggs and drink milk. But don't eat meat. I'm a budgetarian. If it's out of my budget, I can't eat it. As I see it, I don't want animals to suffer or live in tiny spaces for their whole lives. I want them to live a nice long happy life, outside, free to see the world. But after that, we can eat them. Everone is a budgetarian at some point. Ask Africa. What do vegans have against eating eggs though? IF the chickens were kept in a wide place outside, ate healthy food, and were not abused in any way?

Lol, so you get punished for being healthy. Checked for the Netherlands. You cannot buy it (legally) without a doctors prescription (genetic or branded). With off label for weight loss you mean in the US its purchasable without a prescription? Insurance shouldn't cover it if you're basically taking it as a food supplement, but its silly that you are not allowed to buy and use it yourself if you're healthy ... The reward for being healthy is not having to put any lab produced chemicals in your body. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Particularly if Pfizer or Roche are the solutions looking for a problem.

They need more egg layers from somewhere. You can't sex them until they're born and the breed they are is different from meat birds so males are useless. They've just invented a way of figuring out the gender before they hatch but it's very new. As it stands consuming eggs endorses a ton of culling.

Maybe genetic engineering the birds to lay only female eggs? Would that be somehow better?

Battery hens only last a couple years at full production (artificial light, overfed, hormones) and need to be replaced regularly, 50% of the replacements are male and are culled. edit/ already addressed I see, but I will take the opportunity to advocate for keeping one's own hens. The eggs are better and you control the conditions, plus they are adorable and very entertaining.

We are heading for a golden cross on the 50 / 100 daily MA. That should give us the rocket boost we need to break the bear line.
