I might not have time to write a Sunday haiku (mothers day in Sweden), so I wrote that one in advance, have a feeling the pump might be delayed until Monday due to US holiday.

Most shorts since Januari 2019, it won't take that long anymore before pumping starts again.

Relax, enjoy the football game WITH supporters and tomorrow indy 500 with Bitcoin racecar.

First of all already one year has past away in reaching the next halving.... second people really losing there mind fast.... first question do you really need the FIAT and if you really needed it, then 50-60k was a long period and nice price to take a little to cover stuff....

But to many negativity from experienced hodlers imho

There is a lot of negativity, from me included.

That's true.

Why you gots to be like that, somac pomac?

I think this is justifed though as we have falling harder and farther then most imagined and without a bounce.

Huh?  The negativity is justified?  or the continued DOWNity momentum?  Sure, the trend is your friend until it is not... How you gonna shake any peeps out of their coins if you cannot make the ongoing DOWNity appear to be real.  It's appearing pretty real right now, amiNOTkorec?  Does not necessarily mean that it will continue DOWNity.. but hey.. maybe if the price can get brought below $30k, then more scaredie cats will come out of the wood work.. u never know.. u never know. right?

We also did this when bitcoin hadn't even gone parabolic. 2013 had a decent correction but that was only after a parabolic move.

There can be all kinds of variations on past patterns and still be within the realm of reasonable expectations of market movements.

Personally, I am hardly shocked that 50% or more correction comes after a 6.5x increase in 7 months.. and then there could even be some attempts to get us back to $20k and that would not even take us out of the bull market in my humble bumble opinion.

So in essence instead of feeling all Debbie Downer in regards to extreme BTC price actions, figure out some way to not be so shocked about normal kinds of ting-i-lingilies.

I can appreciate why some newbies might be panicking, but jeez, louise, lot's of longer termers should have already been able to set their lil selfies up both financially and psychologically for these kinds of ant movements - that feel BIGGER while they are happening, but are not really that BIG when we zoom our lil selfies out a wee bit and appreciate for how damned far we have come in this asset class that has less than 13 years of existence and ONLY about 11 years of an actual price.

Apart from the mass negativity, and global fiscal and monetary backdrop, what positives are there right now?

Absolutely none.. you should be totally depressed.  That's the right attitude.

And will those positives be able return us to a bullish trend over the next few months.

Absolutely not.  We are all fucked.

I suspect the FUD attacks are still not over yet, they will slowly lose affect but probably not yet.

Well, of course that is not a surprise.  You think that bears are going to stop while they have momentum?  They are going to continue through whatever means that they can to get the BTC price down as far as they can and to keep it down for as long as they can.  Does not necessarily mean that they are going to be successful, but they are surely going to do their damned best while it might feel as if they have bitcoin and friends on the ropes.

We may recover quicker than say 2024, but it is still looking like it will be a decent amount of time.

Oh god.. 2024.  We gots to wait until 2024?

That sucks.

They need a shift kick in the fucking ass.

Lack of testicles  or to quote a Staten Islander they have "Tick balls"

Don't think any of us have actually sold though, in fact I've been buying (everytime I get paid), because that's what you do in dips. LFC bought all his back too I think.

What about the Range Rover?

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

But It's realistic to look at this run and think it may be over due to what we've seen.

might seem realistic.. but seems like you are putting too much weight into a longshot..

even though we know that anything can happen in BTClandia.

In the last cycle ATH everybody was still adament the bull run was not over even after it had dipped 50%, there were some recoveries and I remember Bob retired on one of those. But many (Jay specifically) were denying it for a very long time and only after it went through the 6k level did that actually convince the die hards.

Hey?  Why you picking on me?

Surely, I will admit that I did not concede to being in a bear market until after the november 2018 crash/dip to below $6k and down to $3k..   But so fucking what.  Did not change my behavior based on that... except maybe a tiny bit on the margins.  I got's my lil selfie a system that pretty much is already accounting for BIG ass and outrageous price moves in either direction, and the system has not disappointed wether the extent of the price moves are expected or not, the system no does not give no shits.. it is like a bot.. buys on the way down and sells on the way up (not too much in either direction because never want to run out of fiat and want to retain a decent sized amount of the lilly fiends).

So in essence who gives any shits about what I say in terms of is the bear market or bull market and blah blah.. because I proclaim to really never really know, but can still describe after the fact... so there is that.

I think its sensible to think that a >50% dip could indicate a bear market.

Bear market my ass.

You might be correct, but you better be accounting for the currently valid BTC price prediction models as well.. so good luck with your lil bear market.

Hopefully, it's not long though and we see a 2013 scenario. A 2013 would make sense with what's going on in the world right now, and the interest we are seeing from the big names. But a 50% correction is pretty fucking decent, that's what happened to stocks in 2007.

Bitcoin is not a stock.. just thought that I would let you know.  nohomo.

we are still in accumulation according to Wyckoff.

Doesn't sound wrong to me, lower price is an opportunity maybe its boring or something but its going to feel way too late to buy any at 100k if/when that happens.   People getting a second chance to show some back bone, its up to them if they can acquire the reasoning to not just buy into hype for trades but use it year to year like many assets and gain in a long term way.
I dont really characterize lower prices as must be a negative thing, its usually necessary to enable higher prices later and I think moving too far from the 200 day average can disenfranchise a potential audience from involvement, the more people involved the better.

As far as wider price action, I think 50 week average is relevant.  Usually its the 200 day but since we got a variation in markets the 50 week might be a better mix, moving averages are indicators anyway and both are rising hence Im not negative longer term.

we are below 200 day average, though, it's something like 41K, right?

Yes! Tide is in but BTC is still below its Pivot point on Day chart which is 36,426. The Bitcoin should cross 38K and then stay there for at least 4 hrs to confirm pull back.

Just a little HODling motivation for you guys. I still haven't sold a single sat since 2011. I was going to sell (10% or less) at $50k in late 2020 but I changed my mind and set sell orders to $80k (prolly also mentioned it here on wo). So in case we're really entering a bear market (NOT!) I'm seriously screwed. Unlike many long-term hodlers here on WO who have spent some part of their stashes on lakes, ranches, cruise ships etc I'm still 100% in HODL mode. So before you whine and post some crybaby BS think about some hardcore bull hodlers with balls of steel. Cool

You would not be screwed if $64,895 ends up being the top for this cycle.  You would just be delayed for a bit longer.. perhaps up to 3-4 years.. .but who's counting?  Of course, you are.

You could also shave a bit off around our current price (perhaps 2% to 5%) if you are really worried and cannot delay any kind of gratification no more.. but hey.. depends on your timeline.. and another 3-4 year delay is not going to kill (or really screw) you, is it?

You are making the non-whining whine about your not whining is better than the other whining. or whatever.. seems lame in any event... from this (not so) humble bumble perspective   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I put some sell orders online on the DEX I use for arbitrage and had 3 takers of 0.01 coin each in half an hour, so clearly not everybody is bearish. I immediately bought back 0.033 coin of course.

When you get back to BTC after a day off and see the price down.
When you go to Twitter to find hopium tweets by PlanB or Micheal Saylor.
When all you find is a bearish tweet by Joe:

https://twitter.com/j0e007/status/1398762298232213504?s=21

You take a deep breath and go to HODLsleep, knowing that tomorrow 1 BTC= 1 BTC.
