How will the miners dump there bitcoins now?

Miners use exchanges?
Their dark pools, anyway.

As soon as I posted I thought "silly me".

Of course they use exchanges, not to dump but to pump to keep the price up for their off-exchange sales.

Mind you, the buyers are probably dumping to keep the price down. And so it goes... on and on and on.

How do you think Stamp hack will affect bitcoin price when they open trades again?

Will price drops?

TY!

depends what happens in the next hours and days. If everything back to normal soon and trades get reestablished, then prices probably will recover.

If things keep as they are or people can't withdraw money things will get worse

price is going somwhere between 100-200usd since solf of 18k btc will began

The thefts already sold the stolen coins. They aren't stupid nor slow hands. They sold when the price is over $300. Actually, the thefts triggered the recent crash.

Bullish news, California legally approves bitcoin (sorry if someone else posted it first):

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/ab-129-california-legally-approves-use-bitcoin/

NYC already approved it last year. We can now use bitcoin to pay parking tickets.

I hope people weren't using Stamp to hold coins that they weren't planning to sell.
They'd be fucking stupid to do so after Gox.

Next time, you'll use one of these:

 - bitcoin-otc.com
 - localbitcoins.com
 - mycelium.com/localtrader
 - multigateway.org

stupidity is bigger than all mankind.

Also some traders might accept the risk of being goxxed for the profits of shorting, so it is like a bet, not stupidity

If this can happen at Bitstamp it can happen at any exchange.  Keep your coins on your home PCs in an encrypted wallet, files backed up or in a paper wallet if you are HODLing.

Another sad day for BTC, hopefully Bitstamp can cover these losses.

I was told Bitcoin, the trustless P2P currency, was created to eliminate third-party risks, but you say it ain't so?  Dang...
