This just proves the resilience of the network

What does? The fact that there hasn't been a price crash in three whole days?

Heh-heh was thinking the fact that most of the speculation was done there to move the price down
Without the conversion service less conversions to put the price down more people holding bitcoins nice and stable.

I see a great divide here. Those who own bitcoin and are hurting, and those who wish they owned BTC but can't afford to until it's $5 each. Troll lolol on

In about 6 days, 6 hours and 6 minutes blood will flow through the streets.
These times gentlemen, are very critical for the future of bitcoin and any other cryptocoin.
I'm finally making some profit. That means more coins, fuck it when they become worthless shit. I can say I was there,.... and be poor and broke...

My bearish scenario also says THE bottom in 6 - 7 days, according to the speed of the latest events, but it's a moving target.
And the bearish scenario requires (for start) some dumps during the next hours.
Need to start dumping within minutes. Cannot go higher than 292. Otherwise we're (I am) fucked. Grin
At least there is already a nice fake wall Smiley

Doesn't look like serious dumping will start within minutes, more like testing resistance at 290$ again. IMO it will take 2 - 3 hours for more consistent dumps.

Seriously cannot believe how low the prices are right now.  Think of all those people that were saying earlier in the year:  "I wish BTC would go back down to $2XX so that I could buy all the BTC that I could afford"

It's funny that when the time actually comes, people get gun shy and then think that it is going to fall even more...

Such is human nature. That's why most people fail miserably at trading.

Maybe Localbitcoins would have been a better option... no offence intended; and totally seriously speaking. Undecided

I think the rise we just saw is due to the same insiders who dumped just before Bitstamp melted down on the 4th. Now they have info that Stamps will be back online today and they are buying back cheap coins that they know are going to be worth more tomorrow.

I don't think bitstamp is trying to buy any coins

It seems like it'd be cheaper to just buy them back from the thief lol, it wouldn't make sense for them to purchase them with a markup.

Also, we have all seen the Pastebin by now with the wallet containing the stolen BTC, where every transaction says Bitstamp Hack, however I have not seen it in any news articles on the hack. Am I overlooking it, or are the reporters?

Bter brought coins back from the hacker that robbed it.

I have no problem with that. Consider it a "security assessment fee"

Unless it was an inside job, of course.

Am I the only one who thinks it looks like we're poised for a huge bubble, by this chart? (like the $0.5-$30 bubble)

I could imagine going to $12k and consolidated around $7k-$12k for a couple years before we go up to larger digits
