suspending cloud mining doesn't necesserily mean that they stop mining internally, does it ?

That's why it will drop 10% instead of 30%+

unlikely it will drop like that. The cloudmining contracts might end, but the hardware will still exist. It may likely just be used for CEX's private mining.

I expect a 0% diff change because a lot of 1w+/gh gear will shut off but be replaced by newer S5/SP20 gear

I love a free market.

And I don't pay attention to naysayers. Let me fail on my own, thank you.

They are shutting down some of their hardware, the unprofitable one. If they were to replace it soon (eg: in a week) then why doing the announcement and shutting down GHS on their client's face entirely?

Hopefully in the future you'll make the correct choice of investing in stocks and bonds in order to accumulate slow steady wealth, instead of magic beans.
BTC is uncorrelated to stocks and bonds. If you like its fundamentals, allocating a part of your portfolio to it is a conservative choice.

If you don't like/understand its fundamentals, and are just tradin', that is also your (far less conservative) choice.

This forum (especially this particular thread) is full of trolls & trolls sock puppets.
It's really gone to shit.

Nobody minds the battle between bears & bulls, they both have genuine reasons for cheering different scenarios to make money, that's fine.

There are so many trolls though, it's really quite pathetic & I feel embarrassed for them.

Trolls are people who refuse to make choices in their own pathetic lives and thus feel the need to judge the choices of others. Ignore them and they don't exist.

Trolls are people who refused to dump their money into a get rich quick scheme and tried to warn you all for months, but were mocked and ignored. Everyone makes a choice, but clowns like you made the wrong choice. And now you're just pissed off and looking for someone to blame.

Hopefully in the future you'll make the correct choice of investing in stocks and bonds in order to accumulate slow steady wealth, instead of magic beans.

no... trolls are mentally deficient weirdos...  take a look in the mirror buddy.

^ Take a look at this bastard bulltard's argument.  (HA HA HA , YOU MAD BRO? BRAH? MAX "LELS" ; ) )

If i tell him that bitcoin will drop to 2 digits he will say that i'm a mentally deficient weirdo.

If i tell him that bitcoin will go to $200k in 2 months then i'm his fucking best buddy.

Now you tell me... who's the retard ?

awwhh dont get mad bro....

A new one for the ignore list...

and I know you are slow, but you are the retarded weirdo..  I know everyone has to spell things out to you...

and no BTC will not be 200k in a few months, and you have no friends and certainly I will never be one of them, and I am not a bulltard, you must have me mistaken for someone else... methinks.

What I am is a very happy bitcoiner who has done pretty damn well over the past 3 or 4 years, thanks for your concern though.

I just call weirdos who spend all day, everyday (even over family holidays) trolling a forum for a tech "they do not believe in"  (and seem to enjoy wasting their lives) the deficent weirdos that they are, and sorry but logic dictates you are either a mentally retarded weirdo, or being paid to be here.. choice is your buddy.

Now if you will excuse me, I am going to go and have a quick work out and a run, and then I am going to go grab me a bottle or two at W&D, enjoy beautiful views and company, and laugh my ass off, and get prepped and hyped for tomorrow...

You lot, you trolls... I wonder what you are going to do (ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha) as I said bucko, you are a mentally deficient weirdo...

Like I said man, life is GOOD, well mine is anyway.

Peace, and all that, and in the words of shroomie, welcome to ignore, ya fuckwit.

Over and out, BUT THANKS FOR THE "LELS"

stocks and bonds Huh really Huh while the federal government gives illegal immigrants id cards so they can open up bank accounts get their money into the bank before the bail-ins start happen Huh
i just can't wait for all that paper that you claim will 'accumulate slow steady wealth" !!! ... right into the banks and federal govy's pockets.
there is one thing about the following graph: usd appears to be suspect to the force of gravity. don't look down.

we are hoping that the dollar surpassing 2007 - 2008 highs doesn't foretell the next economic crisis.
unfortunately i will not be able to 'have faith' in 'god' for the federal reserve to print more money to save usd again.
yeah i am going to run right out and back the truck up and buy tons of stocks at all time highs! yeah! i can't wait!
buy high sell low biatches !! no just this time. do it all the time!

Slightly slower confirmation time for the next 2 weeks, starting when they shut down this hardware (at next difficulty adjustment, just now apparently). But nothing more, there are other players, and the incentive-based mining network is a self-regulating system. It will manage.

"No good information anymore" That would seem to imply that information during 2014 was... good?

For the first time, information is great! No longer do we have all the bulltards drawing lines on graphs and trying to convince everyone that we'll be back up to $1,000 soon. No longer do we have shills like reptilia tell us about the exponential trend line, or mental midgets posting photos of rocket ships and trains every day. "To the moon!"  Cheesy Cheesy

Bitcoin is finally being exposed as a pump and dump, and people are beginning to realize that it's in the final stages before falling into obscurity. Accept that fact, and save yourself from further butt hurt.

You do realize that for every day we go further down, the closer we get to a great bullmarket, right?
Unless it was to fail and go to $0 of course but there are no signs of that.

What can this mean for the Bitcoin network?Huh?

Depends on who you're asking. Let's see some examples:

The Troll:

-LambChop:
It means bitcoin is dead.
Sell all your BTCeanie BTCunnies while you can.
Don't forget to put the money to the Bank.
Cause SAFE.
Chop Chop!
[irrelevant unicorn gay pics shagging other unicorns]

The Trader:

-mmitech:
It means you're a moron who you don't understand this silly market.
You people should have listen to me when I warned you last December to sell!
I sold on the way up, and bought all the way down.
Expecting double digits any day now.
Maybe on Tuesday 13th.
Yeah.
That's tomorrow.
Fuckin Idiots.

The Bull:

-inca:
This is a trend reversal.
Another bear trap.
Bullish.
We're going up anytime soon.
Bitcoin FTW!!!!!

The H0dler:

-macsga:
It's nothing but business as usual.
All you need to do is keep for the long run.
I regret selling that amount of my coins for $10.
It won't happen again.
Ignore those trolls!!!1

"Great bullmarket". ROTFL.

And why would that happen kind sir? despair phase?

If there is no demand for bitcoin anymore now that the pump&dump is over and the world doesn't give a fuck about bitcoin anymore, why would that suddenly change? just because it did in the past before the actual bubble bursted?

And no it doesn't have to go to 0, it could slowly fall every week and slowly reach some stability at like $1 or something and be used by some small pocket pump&dumpers to take the lunch money out of the hands of some amateur penny stock traders on a daily basis. Basically, obscurity.
And the process might be slow, so bitcoin will gradually waste your life.

That, or a crash right to 0 while the order books are being wiped out by early adopters and whales who will suddenly realize that their fortunes will be worth a few grand or actually nothing at all if they don't get out in time.
