It would just take one market buy on finex and the orderbooks looks stacked heavily in the favour of the bulls.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

...
a low bitcoin price is the *BEST* time for mining. low bitcoin price = lower income taxes on mined coins
...

When BTC price finally hits zero => no taxes at all => everyone buys mining gear => hashrate explodes Cheesy
You guys are logicians IRL, amirite?

like i said.. it seems we should have gained confidence after we almost got stamped and bitcoin barely moved down any.
you had the perfect storm opportunity to crash bitcoin on down and yet here we are still uncrashed to 0... barely moved.
i do not believe your scenario will happen before halving based upon this alone.

A few things:
Stamp panic should have spiked coin prices as soon as stamp reopened.  BTC withdrawals were possible @ the time, fiat not so much.
I am not trying to "crash bitcoin on down," I enjoy observing the antics of Bitcoiners.

P.S: Do something.  Don't make me shake the box.

Small wall of 700 coins trying to hold 270 on finex.

And it is gone.

Hope we keep up 270 in the mid week

Assuming that the mining hardware is paid off and have no added overhead than we are at a point that many miners will decide as to the usefulness of continued operations. .

Thank you.

So should we expect more bear market until the unprofitable miners are out and the leaner big players are all that remains? Then the next pump?

Edit: growing walls on both sides on finex.

NO. The supply will continue to be BTC3600 new coins generated daily, which will have to find its demand until halving in 2016. Regardless of hashrate and profitability of miners.

There is a whole thread about the Ross (Dread Pirate Roberts) Ulbricht Trial, but it's a few pages back now. All the active threads seem to have been discussing Bitstamp lately.
