Yeez Louise!
Am I the only one who got backflashes from Bioshock reading that?
A barge full of rich people in international waters. I wonder what pirates will make of that.
Funny thing is, ethereum would probably be better suited for the forum he's proposing.

I think even the new exchange wouldn't have any impact on price, what else they are planning to do?

A proper, regulated US wide exchange would be a large boost in credibility and viability at least. I've no idea about price.

Coinbase is limited to certain states. And it seems to be a tad sketchy. They proclaimed they were regulated in certain states and then the states themselves said that wasn't the case.

They've got money transmitter licences in certain states but they might need brokerage licences too. Who knows?

I assume Gemini isn't launching until the bitlicence is cast in stone and they can operate in every state.

When GBTC starts trading we will see some big movement - maybe not right away but in next two months. And I find GBTC even better than Coin ETF since new GBTC share holders will need to hold their shares for next 12 months  Wink
Many of current holders will sell their shares way above market price (bitcoin) and they will be able to get in again lower. They already were able to buy shares directly from BIT so this will be easy money for them.

No offense, but you're thinking small. Think bigger. The GDP of the US is ~15 trillion. That's peanuts compared to the wealth being handled by Wall Steet every year. If a nats fart of that money goes into BTC its market cap will increase dramatically. Even if it's mostly buying and selling, the scope will be much larger.

There's much to be said about the delayed GBTC, Gemini, COIN and Ethereum launches lately.  Everyone is waiting for the impending hype cycle.  It is coming....but when?!?

They're such huge, highly sensitive, highly regulated areas.
Things are going to be checked over, verified & searched a million times.

But MOON when they get the go ahead.
