You forgot about nasdaq stockholm being a partial reason for this micro-bubble.
And let's not forget the GBTC. One of the bidders is Citadel Securitys. From Wikipedia: "Citadel is the eleventh largest hedge fund manager in the world, and the second largest multi-strategy hedge fund manager in the world." That's the ticket. Suddenly pension funds and hedge funds can tap into BTC. 2015 will be The Year of Bitcoin. A lot of traders expected the "institutional investment" bubble back in May. Of course it fell short of expectations and the rally was doomed to fail. Now, well, who knows? Nobody is expecting it.

Still no margin calls. The short squeezes will be fun to watch.

Still no margin calls. The short squeezes will be fun to watch. I'd say the first will be in 10 minutes I don't want to read too much into the graphs, but the steady climb the last two hours doesn't look like the "pump spikes". Maybe it's a more real demand?

Of course it fell short of expectations. Now, well, who knows? Nobody is expecting it. To me, the GS/Circle news was powerful. Fidor in Britain as well. And that's on top of minor news of other large banks and institutions sniffing on Bitcoin lately. But GS/Circle is more solid than "we have assigned a team to look at crypto". Then again, Idk. As you point out, we'll just have to see if this one has legs.

Indeed, the current micro-bubble may be due to [ the Circle investment news ].
You forgot about nasdaq stockholm being a partial reason for this micro-bubble. Maybe. However it seems that BTC-e is again leading this rally, so it may be just a repeat or sequel of whatever happened 2days ago...

From now on this game is just BUY and HOLD. SELL is no longer a valid option.

But nobody could have predicted Bitstamp's hack, which is what sent us into this range in the first place.

I like the buying pattern much better now on all exchanges. Lots of activity and frequently buys in the hundreds. It doesn't feel as artificial or hesitant as we've seen the last couple of months.

Anybody with half a brain will HODL until we get into the thousands (USD).

Or unless the bulk buyers sold above $300, which they had ample time to do.

heh so you can be funny, too!
Or is this just probability theory at work on your prodigious output of posting? Something about infinite tenured professors typing on infinite typewriters...
Have you read Stanilsaw Lem's Cyberiad? There is a story in there of how the two robot-heros defeated the pirate Pugg, that is the best description of the Internet I have ever seen -- and written maybe 10 years before the internet was invented. Pay attention especially to the device that they built. these are sci-fi short stories about robots is that right? Didn't read them but it sounds like something I might enjoy
