It is really possible to arb BTC with LTC? Or with XMR?. Since they are based in BTC seems like a flawed logic...
They are not 'based in BTC'. LTC or XMR or any other cryptocurrency can be used to quickly get funds from 1 exchange to another. As long as the LTC/BTC or XMR/BTC pair remains the same at 2 exchanges, while there is a difference in the USD/BTC exchange rates, you can use it to arb. Thing is that the LTC/BTC pairs have less liquidity, and will probably quickly become the same or similar at the various exchanges. (I don't have any experience doing this, just based on theory) I'm not sure if whoever's hoarding LTC is trying to make money on the arb or just trying to manage the BTC pump. |
