Buying on finex smells like fomo. Looks like a lot of people didn't expect to see the $260s again this soon.

What the fuck? Is that real? I don't use Twitter but I would say this tweet looks like it is written by a random troll. Seriously wtf?

It must be a fake done in photoshop. This is a real tweet by Donald Trump. Notice the difference? There's a date on the real tweet, but no date on the fake one. Look at the bottom left of the tweet. That's why he didn't give a link to it, because it's fake.

Fatman, what would be the reason for this uptrend ?

The 18 months old broken downtrend ?

Thanks. I thought it was fake, too. LOL, that would be some serious news if it was true.

Let's go to 260$ band this weekend. CCMF.

This is by far the most pleasant chart I've seen for quite some time in this thread... Yes Fakhoury, we definitely need some optimism. Smiley

I'm just confident we'll have a new ATH by May or June of 2016. So I'm relaxed and optimistic when looking at they dying downtrend. I think it will not die in a whimper. But with a bang. We'll be seeing $320+ soon.

Fatman, what would be the reason for this uptrend ?

The 18 months old broken downtrend ?

We've been firmly above the low of mid January for almost six months. I'm not sure if this is a definite uptrend though. It seems to me that this might just be some speculative interest connected to the Greece situation. If greeks actually saw Bitcoin as a way of securing their wealth or staying financially autonomous, we should have seen a much more forceful growth several months ago. We might very well fall back to the  $220-$230s in a couple of weeks if this is too strongly linked to Greece.

On the other hand, this might just be the trigger to start a new uptrend. It seems to me that most of Bitcoins potential is priced out ATM. If people are confident that the bottom is in, it would make sense to get into Bitcoin and wait for the potential to get priced back in again. Breaking the downtrend on the charts might matter, but it can bite you in the arse in the short run as there are always people waiting to punish any overexuberance.

What we saw today was probably just people waiting to buy the dip who realised they had missed it and had to hurry back in. I've seen a lot of people expecting the price to go down to the $247-$251 range. But it didn't, so they had to jump on the train at a higher price point in order to come along for the next leg up. Let's just hope there is a next leg up.
