Look at it from a different perspective: it's almost impossible for a poor person to accrue substantial debt, only a fool would lend money to someone who can't pay. That's why bums don't live in mansions and drive Ferraris -- no one offers them that kind (or any kind of) credit.

Does this clear things up at all?
Do yourself a favor and read about 2008 sub-prime implosion caused exactly by bums living in mansions and driving Ferraris. Educate yourself.

BiG Dick is Lambies (NLC) latest fresh created troll account spewing as ussual the unnecessary bullshit. Dont bother...not much ppl online here atm.

Not all debt is good debt, is that what you're trying to tell me? How is this any different than all the bit-coin deadbeats captains of industry scurrying off with investors' bit-coins?

You still haven't answered my question tho:
Money IS debt. If not contract/debt, what is it Huh

If we are talking about macro-economics and how debt is used and abused systemically, then there are a lot of problems and abuses that can unjustly enrich, exploit and cause a variety of irrational and non-democratic outcomes.

On the other hand, as individuals we cannot necessarily change a lot of these systematic matters, and we can attempt to find ways to utilize debt to our advantage, and to leverage into better situations that may not be possible without taking on the debt that may also be based on our own building of credit.

Some of these tools are certainly going to remain in play especially in the short term no matter how popular bitcoin becomes - we cannot really uninvent various legacy systems, even though with the passage of time these legacy systems are going to be forced into some adapting, and the timeline for such depends upon how rapidly bitcoin is able to spread (and any other similarly situated decentralized currency that may come into being in the coming years).

Good afternoon Bitcoinland.

Almost recovered from last week's mini-dip down to $433. Time to take another run at $450.

Hahahaha, if true, hilarious! http://pastebin.com/8a2EdtSV <==supposed to be an email leak
TL;DR: Bruce Fenton trying to become relevant by offering Core fancy-sounding BitcoinFoundation titles if they just play with him Cheesy

NOTICE ME SENPAI!!

Lol, confirmed Cheesy

"[–]bruce_fenton [score hidden] 37 minutes ago

This email was a private/ non public email meant for about a dozen of the leading core Devs."
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/4kt7uv/leak_bruce_fenton_attempts_to_revive_failed_and/

Between this "leak" of an unsolicited group email and the "crashing" of his club med roundtable, Queen Bruce proves he has a very naive view of what is and isn't private.

its way to long and i didnt read, but i dont understand what you guys have against this dude.
all i know of the guy besides this is, he hosted a meeting with all the devs in an attempt to get them on the same page.
seems to me he's a rich dude that has invested interest in making bitcoin succeed and he's trying to help in whatever way he can.
this latest attempt appears to be offering PR services for Core dev through the bitcoin foundation.

what wrong with that?

to me we're lucky to have him spending time and money on bitcoin.

That's a pretty decent gif, Pumpy.

Rebranding seems like such a dumb idea... Coinbase Exchange was a good name... but whatever, that is their decision regarding how they want to present themselves to the world through their name.

I'm sure that there is quite a bit of regulatory risk in this space, even for big players like Coinbase.  there may be some concerns about attempting to engage in both wallet services and exchange services, and they may want to create two separate companies (or sell one part in order to avoid some of the overlapping and likely contradictory regulatory issues that applies to differing kinds of agencies)

It will make it less confusing now Bit-x has rebranded to Coinsbank. Coinbase and Coinsbank are very similar names that newbies could easily get muddled up. Luckily both exchanges rebranded at about the same time.

GDAX ... Global Digital Asset Xchange ?? Is that what is stands for ? Maybe, I dunno. Sounds more 'futuristic' than Coinbase perhaps. A step towards listing more 'Digital Assets' that are not perceived as 'money'. Just my 2 cents bits
We need more hype ... 'coin' gotta go ... this is the future  Cheesy

I'm quite sure that there is quite a bit of regulatory risk caused by unreasonable and, arguably, needless regulation in the burgeoning cryptocurrency space for players of various sizes, even for relatively big players like Coinbase and the like.  there may or may not be some concerns about attempting to engage in either wallet services or exchange services, these concerns being further amplified and compounded if the concernee engages in attempting to engage in both wallet services and exchange services at the same time, which is to say simultaneously, and they may or may not want to create two or more separate companies (or sell one part and possibly buy another in order to avoid some or all of the overlapping and likely contradictory regulatory issues caused by excessive, and, arguably, needless regulation in the burgeoning crypto space that apply to differing kinds of agencies)
