ATH or single digits?
The bankers decided to let us pump Bitcoin to the moon to acclimate people to their cashless society prison until they figure out that most people are spending the profits on things like gold and silver.

why does it feel like at any moment price could start rising at a rate of 1% every 10mins for 148 hours nonstop?
edit: here we go? is it starting? .... aw fuck this i'm going to bed
$1040 x 1.01^(6*148) = $7,151,765 Yeah, fine, I could go with that.

Let's keep this pace Bitcoin, I can live with this. Everyone around me is asking me for Bitcoin since they know I've always talked about it. Not anymore. I'm telling everybody I own few mbits and that I cashed out long ago. Better they forget me sooner than later.
Go bitcoin.

In November, 2013 we had UP THRUSTS that covered a 7 week period. The UP THRUSTS got more violent each week as FOMO set in. I also want to point out the up thrusts of 2013 crossed SIX (6) Breakout Lines that were non existent at the time. It's HIGHLY LIKELY we are in for a SEQUAL EVENT judging by how these UP THRUSTS are increasing. I threw in a couple of more breakout lines above number 6 for a ball park figure. If this is a sequel event to 2013 that crosses 6 breakout lines, we are looking at close to the $1,500 mark for the new ATH -0.35% . $1,500 will become the new "Mental" number for a while instead of the $1,000 number that has eluded bitcoin for the past 3+ years. Bitcoin can easily be close to $3,000 by end of 2017. Very easily. As each day passes by for each week, bitcoin will continue to gain headway in the news. More people will begin to come into the exchanges to buy as FOMO builds . I'm beginning to believe we are in for one hell of a ride.

I wasn't on board last time it bubbled up to the all time high with that Mt. Gox business, but I was lurking this forum out of curiosity. I remember I was aware of bitcoin when it first broke into the double digits way back when, but it took me awhile to finally get on board even though it always appealed to me as an anti-fiat libertarian. I guess I was intimidated about how to get into it and afraid I would buy in at the wrong time (silly!)
But I'm content because I think I have what can be considered a first class seat this time. I'm stuck on that dopamine loop that has me checking the price constantly.
Don't beat yourself up too much. Bitcoin is such a new & mind-bending phenomenon that I personally don't know of anyone who could wrap their heads around it immediately. Most people still can't. That includes most of those who understood enough to buy & hold some. In that regard you're way ahead of the curve. Welcome aboard the train!

This is crazy guys, this rise is parabolic. Don't you think it need to come back down and floor out. Like how high can it possibly go before crashing? I think its now so I sold all my btc besides a few for investing with and I'll buyback in at $800 in a month from now. Unless, of course, we never see $800 again That's very possible too but I think its likely to happen. What's your take? This just feels so much like 2013. Back then, "there had been an ATH of $266 which had hung around for a while, until the bull run which eventually broke through it and took us to the current ATH of $1175. That was a rise in the ATH of 442%. If the current ATH were to break through this time, and rise by the same percentage, that would lead to a new ATH of $5194" [pasted from my post a few days ago]. On the other hand (even though I don't really think TA works too well with btc), we could be seeing a classic cup and handle pattern forming between Nov.2013 and now: http://www.investopedia.com/terms/c/cupandhandle.asp In which case, we could expect to see the price go up to c.$1175, then drop to between 30% and 50% of that ($587 to $820 ) as traders begin to doubt whether the ATH will be broken. Then a bounce back to beyond $1175. In other words, I think it'll reach $1175, then it could go up or down

I guess Gox ath is the ultimate test, since coins did change hands at that price.

I guess Gox ath is the ultimate test, since coins did change hands at that price. Someone told me the ATH was gox at $1226 usd? Or at least what I used on my thread title on here Why I want the BTC ATH of $1226 of mt.gox breached and become the floor. (end of plug) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1736307.msg17371578#msg17371578perhaps I have to change it again? But I really, really want BTC to sail past the ATH for a floor above that. Want that whole 2013 argument to go away from use by the FUD'sters in the future. pet peeve indeed! But to stay on topic here...that IS the ATH we want to beat right? (been getting other amounts on google)

I guess Gox ath is the ultimate test, since coins did change hands at that price. Gox ATH was $1,242 if I remember correctly. I plucked $1175 from current Finex charts. I think the latter is the psychological ATH since many may not have been around in 2013 and will look to Finex or Stamp. Or maybe ATH on Chinese exchanges is the more important one these days?

That is a good thing... All fine and dandy... you can take your profits, but if you sell and you still want to have some bitcoins, you are going to have to buy back in at a higher price, otherwise you become a fiat baghodler and with fewer bitcoins than you previously had for the same price... ..

LOL, the mainstream-media praises BTC now since weeks and as soon as one or two critical articles appear: "propaganda measurements". The mass-media likes BTC (so far), deal with it. I don't think that the mass-media is praising Bitcoin in any way!! They are reporting about it! Some do it objectively and explain the pros and cons and others like the FT just spread pure FUD and BS! The good thing is, now they all are reporting about it! Let the few fud if they wanna do it.It won't help them in any way!

Well... exactly! ... I was talking about pulling a fast one on the trades. But in these circumstances anyone that tries to pull something on the trade orders can be left behind holding the wrong bag.
