Just curious...

Does anyone here have a number in which they will sell their coins in the short term or are most of you staying for the long haul?
I'm a long term holder since $300 and I will not sell any coins before the block reward halving in 2020.

How do you hold your hoard for safety?

Me its the KISS principal keep it simple stupid (me ie: stupid) mine like hell...hold what you can..put it in a paper wallet(s) 3 in a safety
deposit box in a water proof pouch in case sprinklers go off or something dumb like that..
got brother the other key....(must watch brother when it hits 20k a btc note to self) ONLY him and/or me in..unless
we both get hit by a truck then usual other relatives called in....

Thus if the Bank gets swallowed up in a large sinkhole or a meteorite hits it ..it will simply prove the asic mining gods hate me (knc titans are evil beasts
that try to brick themselves often) and it was not meant to be...

so pretty simple system.......baring ..... galactic overlords taking over the earth...zombie apocalypse....or the sinkhole dream i have occasionally (shudder)

Always add to the BTC addresses in the safety deposit boxes...NO transactions OUT Ever to this point in time...or all goes into a virgin wallet again

(so far no problems with that yet)

Then again the excitement of BTC rising to the moon to 3k by the end of the year as others claim..that much joy will likely kill me with happiness on watching
such a moon shot in price Sad

I feel sorrow for most of you. Most of you have never been rich with a lot of money. Sooner or later you'll inevitably be tempted to sell your bitcoins and buy something you think you need. Rich people will buy out your bitcoins. They will be rich again and you will end up having some useless glossy trash. And most important, you'll turn into bitcoin haters because you''ll never be allowed to buy back your bitcoins at the same price.

Why you have to be so judging...   and ruin our little party?   Cry Cry

I believe it's very little upside left, and not worth the risk, better to lock in profits.
And why would that be? I don't see it. People want to get in bitcoin desperately and the price is increasing every day. I actually had someone contact me today on how to buy bitcoin, someone that was never interested before.

Guys c'mon let everyone celebrate. Most people in the world don't have any savings at all or they are in debt. Don't be an elitist dick. Even if you hold just 1 bitcoin and are not in debt you are doing very good. Go bitcoin go! Kiss

Wise words. Congrats everyone on the gains up till now.

What really amazes me today is the rise in the alts, combined with the very high rise of BTC. Allowed me to sell some, been waiting on that opportunity for quite a while.

Seems like tonnes of (fiat) money is flowing into the cryptosphere.

i think there is no strength or anything, they get what they get, the sellers do not get it again, you have to put a buy order on what you have to sell. If you are about to give up selling at a dealer in the near future, or if you are selling it on a nicer basis, the price may increase rapidly.

But seriously, who's dumbing their btc now?? When everything points to a new ATH in the near future? When we are after a halving of new btc supply since the last rally? When we have 100x more liquidity, 100x more ATMs worldwide, 100x more people knowing/using/speculating on btc? Not to mention the protocol advances, LN, ETF, currency crisis, etc.

The market is so much more mature and advanced (on-off ramps) compared to 2013, so the upside potential is enormous, anyone who is learning about and investing in btc since 2013 should HODL for life, unless he still does not "get it".

This is still only the "innovator" phase, we are still in the beginning 1/3 of the S-curve. Just as double digits has gone forever, triple digits will be gone forever soon, and some long time bitcoiners "take profit" for a 100$? LOL.

I tried to estimate a new ATH... and I found out a estimation between $23k and $31k that is good to sell and then pick it up again from somewhere between $2k - 5k$ and buy in again. Smiley
