Not up on this, but does HaoBTC and/or others have 'satellites' outside of China proper? (or plan to do so?) thus just all exchanges getting the heck out of China proper
will be the end result of all these heavy handed (imho) actions of Chinese authorities?

ASSUMING above is true. CAN the masses in China move Yuan still in some manner outside of the country, with the exchanges located outside, in a large manner to support
BTC yet? or will the great 'firewall' of china hold on such actions with BTC exchanges outside of China?

(or who the heck knows?)

well I wanted cheap coin to get back to 100 btc on my hoard again. Seems it has come to pass. (conflicted...always conflicted....want one thing cheap coins, then I get
cheap coins...then freak and want price to go up for BTC and vice versa...sheesh) Sad

Yeah... go ahead.. sell most of your stash.  Good luck.

My instinct tells me that if I was going to sell, I would have already done it.. therefore I am currently in buying mode, and it is just a matter of how much and how much of a drop to wait for.

However, for example, if I think that the price is going to drop fast and far, then I would attempt to cancel my higher up buying orders in order to attempt to combine them at lower prices.. but who knows?

I know the feeling.  I feel glad to get some more cheap coins, but wonder when it's going to stop... and wonder if I should wait a bit longer..

Insight..sigh......someone want to comment on my insight with some insight..still no clue.....

ie if all the exchanges move out of China .....would their be enough $$$ coming out of China to those exchanges ...thru the great firewall of china to matter
or would any newbie/users of BTC in china be out of luck?

(damn always good with the questions...have no frigging idea of the answers...can see the trap in other words...but stumble into it anyway) Sad

My life is a constant emotional bounce between...

CHEAP COINS, CHEAP COINS, CHEAP COINS....

and

FOMO, FOMO, FOMO

Damn, I am such a BTC groupie tool....... Sad

Guys since almost two weeks we are hovering arond $1000!
We've never done that before!
This is a very strong signal imo. It's like we are glued on that level.Could be much worse right?!

well, no it's not strong in my opinion. many things happened until now, the fact of the Chinese exchanges effects need some time to real life not some days how maybe you think.
despite that the volume along with the orders to me looks like down trend for couple of weeks

Yes, according to razor-forex there has been a huge spike in Chinese Local Bitcoins trading volume. Some traders are paying ¥1000 over spot price. The volume is at its highest ever.

The Chinese are deserting their exchanges in favour of Local Bitcoins.

http://www.razor-forex.com/2017/02/chinese-bitcoin-traders-flock-to.html

Quote
Bitcoin trading volumes on LocalBitcoins in China hit a new all-time high for the week ending Feb. 11, 2017. Charts from Coin.dance show a surge of ¥6,599,940 worth of bitcoin transactions for that week.

LocalBitcoins volumes in the country have not come close to last week’s figure since the third week of June in 2016, when the last all-time high of ¥5,296,533 was recorded.

The demand in China for bitcoin is so great on LocalBitcoins at the moment, sellers are offering the digital currency with markups as high as ¥1000 over spot rate. At press time, the BTC/CNY rate on exchanges like Huobi is hovering around ¥6800.00.

Keep in mind all these guys are mostly in for making money. I doubt that even one of them is a true Bitcoin lover. Also the Winklevoss bros are only business men, 100%.

my guess is that this bitcoin thing is - if it gets mainstream traction - their only chance to dwarf zuckerbergs social media empire. they have got 100k btc. (worth $100mio) one must have some sympathy for the coin to keep so many, imho.

zuckerberg is worth $56 billion. lol, bitcoin has to 560fold for them to catch up. hm... long shot.  Cheesy

^This.

For all the people who talk about Bitcoin being a global economic force and so on, they really need to put things in perspective. Bitcoin's market cap is at about $16,000,000,000 which is by averaging all coins at $1000. Now we all know that even if a fraction [say 1/4] of those coins were all sold off; the price would drop drastically. But lets look at the glass half full and say Bitcoin is worth $16Billion.
  • AOL Bought Time Warner for $186 Billion.
  • Vodafone Airtouch acquires Mannesmann – $185.1 Billion
  • Pfizer Acquires Warner-Lambert – $87.3 Billion
  • SBC Acquires AT&T – $83.1 Billion
  • Exxon Acquires Mobil - $80 Billion

Or Microsoft purchased Lumia for $7.6 Billion which they just wrote off as a failure.

Bitcoin is chump change in the grand scheme of things.

this only proves that bitcoin is undervalued at the moment
1000$ and 16 bil capitalisation are not set in stone and it seems like none is writing bitcoin off (like Microsoft with Lumia Smiley  )
on the contrary we are about to see the all time high if not this quarter, then this year for sure
