It is so strange to see that while everybody keeps seeing green values China has to see red. Less than a month ago this would have been impossible but today the game changed and it seems we do not need china volume to go up anymore.

Looks like we're going to breakout.

Will give the bureaucrats in China the opportunity to 'expose' more flaws in BTC exchanges when the price gets around $1,100 usd or so per BTC.

You can be sure of something like the following  ...' we have found discrepancies and are evaluating our response' or some such.......big yawn......gotta slap that BTC price down now that it is

over 1k again...arrise PBOC minions to the walls!

predicable as the price of BTC rising.....China FUD the other end of the teeter totter Smiley

edit: er...not sure it is gonna work anymore...but pretty sure they will try in some kind of method to do so Smiley (in 2 weeks) Smiley (soon) tm bfl

I dream of a day where bitcoin is boring Smiley

So boring as to be like a credit card...just a utility.

can I get an amen?

I dream of a day when all bitcoin folk come together miners and bitcoin core etc ..resolve the block size issue and move on to the real fun

making BTC scale like the credit cards above and be boring!

I dream that the PBOC will be less and less relevant the more and more it cries wolf and as such China exchanges will move and/or just not matter Smiley

I dream because of all the above and 80% of all BTC ever made will be done in 2018..that my frigging BTC will be worth 10k each

All in the name of BOREDOM

(hey, if BTC works as it is supposed to ..it should be boring as hell ...at least a the consumer/user end ) Smiley

Hallelujah Smiley

In 2 weeks PBOC will force Chinese exchanges to introduce bitcoin withdrawal tax, say 10%, effectively confiscating large portion of bitcoins there. This % might be higher if we have new ATH in 2 weeks.

China bans Bitcoin on BTCC again?  Cheesy

Quote
Dear Customer, BTCChina will continue upgrading its inspection and verification system for bitcoin and litecoin withdrawals to aggressively guard against money laundering, illegal money exchange, pyramid schemes, and other illegal activity. As a result, bitcoin and litecoin withdrawals will be suspended from February 15th until March 15th. Bitcoin and litecoin withdrawals will be resumed as soon as industry standards are settled and the inspection and verification system has been upgraded. Please note: 1. Bitcoin and litecoin withdrawals will resume as soon the inspection and verification system has been upgraded. We will let customers know as soon as this happens. 2. CNY deposits and withdrawals will not be affected; if customers want to withdraw funds within a shorter period, they can first trade their bitcoins and litecoins for CNY on the exchange and then withdraw the CNY. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding, The BTCChina Team February 15th, 2017

You can only cry wolf so many times before people stop giving a shit. I'm honestly shocked they've been able to influence the market as many times as they have.

Nice to see some movement. Let's hope this is a proper leg up. It's about time.

It's about time you get a leg up with a weekly RSI over 70???

You guys don't know what you are talking about.

Also the bullishness here speaks for down movement.

Also the bullishness here speaks for down movement.

Weekly RSI is supposed to trend above 70

'16 May - Jun -------- weekly RSI > 70 ---- $430 ----> $780

'16 Nov - '17 Jan ---- weekly RSI > 70 ---- $720 ----> $1160

today ----------------- weekly RSI > 70 ---- $1000 --> ...

Using past examples where the RSI went higher than 70 has absolutely no significance. RSI over 70 is overbought period.

Don't have time to get into stupid arguments that waste my time. Leaving again for better and more intelligent places.

Seems the eastwest doesn't trust this breakoutfrozen chinese exchanges

edit: why on earth does the PBoC weaken their exchanges? usually the chinese government is nothing but protecting/fostering their industries. weird.

editII: cheap coins available on chinese exchanges. but what good is a cheap coin that is frozen?

RSI is suitable for range trading. Using RSI as an indicator when bitcoin is in a very strong uptrend is plain stupid!
