That page literally says "Unlisted" right below "COIN".  The COIN symbol has been reserved for years.  This is not an indicator of anything.

Hey Bitchick is here!  Cheesy

How are you and your hubby doing?  Still holding for the long term?  What's your take on how Bitcoin is doing?

I am still hodling.  Husband is less of a hodler than me and has been selling systematically.  Our strategy is to follow the "SSS" plan.  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345065.msg3697405#msg3697405

Compared to 2013 I feel much less emotional and more level headed though.  I understand how getting too emotional during rises is dangerous and it is better to just have a logical plan in place and stick with it.

I think we are on a brink of a bubble.  Of course depending on what happens with the ETF this coming week will determine how quickly we see the bubble take off.   I fully expect to see prices in the $5000 range but I have always been the optimist in regards to BTC, hence why I was willing to hold since 2013. Wink

Lol I remember how delusional you were in 2013. I think I was too after the nov 2013 rally, but boy you were on another level lmao.. talking about 2014 was gonna be the "year of bitcoin" and shit lol.  Too bad yall started selling BTC though, should've been buying during the bear market like me Wink

It looks clear now that the ETF will be approved and there will be a pre-announcement in 3 days, this Wednesday after the market closes in NY. There is enough information floating around now from government employees that know someone who knows someone who knows something.

The pre-announcement will have just enough information to leave some doubt but will also be enough to bring the price closer to an equilibrium in the event of a full ETF approval announcement. The last thing a government fish-head wants is to be credited with spiking bitcoin by 200%, so pre-announcements and copious leaks is all part of the plan to get it priced in beforehand.

Thanks Elwar for being the go-between again, your help is appreciated.

Wow this afternoon looks like we have lyrics competition...

This is how much you boring with the price stable i think right? don't worry....some hours to open the banks again... $1300 will be broken soon ?

any ideas?

Yeah, I think $1300 will happen tomorrow.  Given all the claims we've had this weekend that the ETF is already approved, regardless of how false thise claims may be, and the banks reopening to let money flow to the exchanges, I think people won't be able to resist taking extra steps to make sure they're on that rocket when it launches  Tongue

I'm intrigued by Elwar's jump to 3 in his countdown!

I asked before but up to now i had no answer so can you please tell me what are the news regarding the ETF? i saw elwar posted the number 3...
now you tell me the ETF is already approved... what happend?? i left for some hours yesterday and today and i missed all the fun?

This is the "news" about the ETF, although I wouldn't bet the house on it. If I worked for the SEC I wouldn't risk prosecution by blurting confidential news out ahead of time.

My good friend is Pete McMillan and he works as a clerk for the SEC. He sent me a screenshot yesterday of his laptop. On it was the press release for next Wednesday on the Bitcoin Winklevii ETF... So the decision has already been made folks.

I thought this bit of information would silence the debate that has been raging the past few hours. Remember to only invest more than you can afford and never take the advice of anyone that is prepared to give it. Also, remember that no shoes were made for a cobbler's feet before they are first made for his children.

Notice I don't spend too much time on here!  LOL
Nice to have you around occasionally, we're not all bigots around here, you know Smiley

I ended up going on a mission trip to India two years ago and all my priorities really shifted after that.  Bitcoin has taken a "back seat" to my newly invigorated love for Jesus.  Wink  I guess I was always "spiritual" but some might say I have gone way extreme.  But there are worse things to be passionate about!

But that is the real reason I am not on here much anymore.

let´s assume the SEC is going to approve COIN. i might add that the multiyear delay was due to the fact the SEC generally had no problem with this specific ETF, but they knew it would boost the tiny btc market and they did not want to this as long as btc price itself was "in the red". they wanted to see if the price could climb up to ATH level without SEC boosting it. they did not want to boost an asset that might have seen its peak long ago. if they would have done so, there would always be talking about the SEC saving a dying asset.

we have all pulled the shades and are curled up in the fetal position....
rocking back and forth..  back and forth...

can't wait to get this week (and upcoming weekend maybe) behind us.

personally, I think their will be no action taken by SEC (which will default to COIN being approved).  Just my best guess - nobody should care what I think, I just want to record it here so I can be on record.

Good morning ladies and gentlemen of Bitcoinland.

I see yesterday's little beartrap is closing quite nicely... currently $1254USD (Bitcoinavaerage).

According to Google, we're at exactly $1700CAD. Nice round number.

Onward and upward (or maybe a little more sideways). Go Bitcoin go.

Is everyone on this thread living on Mount Athos? You realise they're half the global population, right? There might be one within 5-6 metres of you RIGHT NOW.

Don't worry bro. Not everyone here is a pimply-faced misogynist antisemitic nerd living in Mom's basement. Some of us are adults with lives in the real world.

Some of us like the company of real women and prefer hanging out with them and sleeping with them and not just fantasizing about them while masturbating to images on a computer screen or in a one-handed magazine.
Screw you the mods. This person is a misandrist. Delete his posts.

White knights gonna knighting.

They never see the cognitive dissonance about the fact, that this scene is free to explore/join/participate for both genders, and yet somehow ~98/100 are males (as in STEM in general). Must be the bigotry of the evil patriarchy  Wink

It has nothing to do with the natural IQ distribution of men vs. women, or the psychological/cognitive differences in the sexes. Actually, now i became a bigot, just by saying that gender is not a social construct, but a biological fact.

PS.: highlighting facts does not= moral judgement.

Bitcoinland is heavily populated by tech nerds, who tend to be male. It's nice to have some of the finer half of the species around here.

If there is a pre-announcement in 3 days when would you be able to invest in it, immediately, weeks, months?

If @marcus_of_augustus is right the play is to buy bitcoin now. It takes time after approval for paperwork etc for COIN to be listed on BATS. I have seen estimates of about a month soonest after approval.

Thats ok. I'll bag hold BTC for a month.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Still creeping upward after Saturday's little correction/profit-taking... currently  $1266USD (Bitcoinaverage).

It seems like forever since we last had an ATH (3 days ago).

I guess everybody's just waiting on the SEC.
