but nonetheless very annoyed because of the bad actors in this community.
I for one am pretty amazed there aren't more of them. Bitcoin is a very fertile petri dish for every conceivable type of disgusting behaviour. totally agree...high % of win/loss attract players who don't mind playing games.

It'll be a total shitshow. The two warring factions will get coins on both chains, so they'll all start dumping on the chain they don't like while alts take over.
What the hell happened? It looks like the price just took a major cack on it's self! Nothing much happened. I couldn't find any really significant news to trigger a dump. Finex hasn't been "hacked" again. Bitcoin's not going to fork in the near future because neither side has anywhere near enough votes. Maybe JimboToronto's right and finex is driving this dump in an attempt to margin call.

Folks tend to tribalism very fast and at the moment they are about to cripple Bitcoin as a storage of value, cause a fork (or even forkS) will mean in the longterm the end of Bitcoin as a storage of value. You can call the other fork "Altcoin" as long as you want, in the end the market doesn't care and value will diminish over time.

They don't have bitcoins holdings anymore. They sold their bitcoins for altcoins and moved their altcoin holdings. There are no Chinese exchanges anymore. Entire bitcoin business in China is done outside of the exchanges.

Yup. It's about time someone, or rather something, designed a crypto that was purely objective and gave its human followers electric shocks if they tried to fuck with its smooth operation.

They withdraw in whatever they can withdraw. They used proceeds to purchase alts. Understood, I think that I didn't understood what the aim of the gov was... or what they really did. I thought they suspended withdrawal from exchanges, but if it was possible in alts, I don't get what they wanted.

The graph was looking good, TA is pretty useless once again. Fundamentals also good since BUchina is dead after the bug disaster. This selloff makes no sense, it is either a whale taking profits or random panic selling.
No, I don't think the whale taking profits was the cause. I think the price was affect through some sort of panic sell and some government prevent bitcoin adoption through high tax bid. That's why I'm glad for the Texas law firm for stand up against government concern bitcoin.

Save your money. Sounds like you are close to all in. Not good
I'm hardly "all in". That sounds like a trader's term. Actually I'm close to being "all out" of fiat currency, just a couple of thousand dollars pocket cash. My assets are spread all over. My bitcoins only represent a fairly small percentage of my holdings. I just don't use banks. If I really need cash, I'll get some from one of the people holding dollars for me, but it might take days. My biggest concern is possibly missing a buying opportunity. I can't profitably mine coins any more. If I can chip away buying a couple of coins here, a half a coin there, I can continue amassing a nest egg for my old age.
