The bubble would pop shortly after that, the growth we are seeing right now is somewhat healthy but we all know once this bubble pops we're back to the stone ages. Just keep that in the back of your mind. I too welcome the rise but too fast and it's all over. |

same. all my friends for the last 5 years have believe that they had "missed the boat." what a shame. edit: whoa  go bullstamp Same here too. I'm still telling them it's still cheap. They want to kill me hahahahahah. i have no sympathy for any of them. they had their chance. they'll have other chances in the future when it's crazy high but the last 2/3 years were the second golden age of accumulation. This is the leading the horse to water but maybe not able to get the horse to drink part. If we have been in bitcoin long enough and have been somewhat sharing of the information, we are going to have several examples of these kinds of folks who seem to consider and even kind of understand the concept but a bit chicken shit to pull the trigger. There can be a painless way of getting in that involves dollar cost averaging - but so many folks dont even want to attempt that - so they are not sufficiently convinced nor sufficiently bullish about the bitcoin concept... |

Who has the balls here to bet on a $2000 double top and defend this position in this forum?  (Edit: Finex prices.) (That doesn't mean $2000 cannot be passed in the future with better fundamental news. But perhaps it's too early and a sell-in-May scenario is more realistic.) Even the way you describe this, you seem to recognize that the odds are against such a scenario that you describe, and even you seem to be too chicken shit to argue it, and therefore, you are asking for someone else to argue it... hahahahahahaha |

2 k. One of the best weekends ever  Porsche or ferrari?  Strangely enough, as high as bitcoin goes I still look for a reasonable car under $5k that will last a few years with low maintenance. Though I spent more than that in the last week on a vacation. It's funny how decision making with money works sometimes. I also noticed that I am inconsistent: penny-wise and pound-foolish. |

Nobody sold out at $600. I've been buying metals from $800 - $1600 and just made 600% on litecoin too. Anything I missed in bitcoin I already made up in alts. There's really zero reason to hold BTC over LTC right now either. Whoever buys this LTC double bottom will make far more money than anyone in Bitcoin. LTC could continue stagnating into nowhere land for all we know. I hope that is not the case, but looks like people couldn't care less about high fees and slow transactions. BTC is going to hit $2000 any minute now. It's time for you and the rest of people that sold ages ago to admit you fucked up. Every coin out there is measured against BTC, people are naturally talking about "sats", and BTC could profit from other scaling solutions that don't even need segwit such as atomic cross chain transactions with LTC or RSK, not to mention it continues being the conservative crypto investment because it's the most trusted one and everyone just copy-pastes code from Bitcoin Core. Of course there are reasons to hold BTC. |

Every coin out there is measured against BTC

Eh. People did the best they could with the information they had. I've run a rule saying I would not buy bitcoin, only earn it. It's served me well with limited downside and no screwed up nights wondering if it would implode. As for cashing out, I have some gold I got at $600 a coin, worse things have happened. However I am working a bit harder lately and it's starting to chew into surplus free time. So there is that to think about. |

If UASF becomes a sucess, i.e. Segwit + LN become operable on Bitcoin, I'd expect the price to be anywhere between $5000 - $10 000 shortly after. The effect of Segwit & LN on Litecoin (which did not require it as far as throughput is concerned; but it does fix a lot of things) is undeniable.
I see some desperate bears. The spread between Bitstamp and Finex has increased again.  |
