Boy someone yesterday was awfully sure of himself that selling was such a bad idea ".....we be going uppity."
It didn't really had a fall from yesterday (bitstamp is up 20$ since yesterday, same time). The correction is in a few hours window. 600 drop from 2800 is not just a fall, it was an excellent shorting opportunity, if you are into that kind of thing.

Shorting bitcoin? Judging from the charts that is a bad idea. Current price is higher than yesterday's price.
Buy every dip and hold your coins I would suggest.

I thought there was a Bitcoin ATM just around the corner from you. You shouldn't have any travel expenses. Is it broken or something?
I had 2 within walking distance but 1 was taken out and the other moved from Decentral to a convenience store a couple of doors down the street where the fees are ridiculous (13% buy, 15.5% sell). The place I've used most recently ran out of coins a couple of days ago. Deloitte is reasonably priced but have a $100 daily limit. There's a place downtown where I can buy for 5% and sell for 3% but they're a little too far to walk and require transferring between transit vehicles or taking a cab. It's also raining today. If the dip was deeper and I had more cash to spend, I might consider it. Under the circumstances, I'll wait. That's what I like about holding Bitcoin. You earn obscene amounts of money just for waiting.

You cannot hold forever, otherwise what is the point of it? Boy someone yesterday was awfully sure of himself that selling was such a bad idea ".....we be going uppity."

If you know the tops and bottoms beforehand, sure. It is a very simple strategy really, buy as it is going down and sell whilst it is going up; therefore you might actually find the top and the bottoms. This is not rocket surgery

Fuel for the 4000 USD : http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-05-25/bitcoin-blows-throuigh-2500-2600-2700-overnight-south-korea-demand-soarsThe South Korean government has been very friendly towards digital currencies, and the country is steadily becoming a technology hub. Just recently the government lowered the equity capital requirement for bitcoin companies working with remittances.
The new statutes will begin on June 18 with a reduction of required capital to 1 billion KRW in contrast to the prior requirement of 2 billion KRW.

Yeah I tried to do so and got burned as hell >< It's not even that the opportunity doesn't exist. It's just that prices moves so fast and with such a great range that... I guess I'll never really get the hand of btc trading. Forex is easier

Not just Bitcoin that's falling, most crypto is losing value right now. Interesting since most of the time when a situation like this happens, since it's usually those alts going up. Once we reach the bottom it'd likely be a good time to buy.

*snip* The place I've used most recently ran out of coins a couple of days ago. *snip* Does it tell you its run out of coins before you put the money in, or does it happily accept the money, then refuse to give it back when it finally tells you its got no Bitcoins?

You can't use margin now on exchanges to buy bitcoin. You're allowed to only sell on margin. This effect will last until Monday when new portion of fiat will hit all bitcoin exchanges. We have only 2-3 days to shake the weak hands and reload.

Not at all, because we are in bubble just entering parabolic stage. Not "most of the time" situation In 2013, alts after massive growth crashed in reaction to bitcoin correction. Then whales poured all their cash to Bitcoin in anticipation of final wave 5. It came and it was glorious.
