Not the best timing, but I have BTC/USD short open from $4041. Target is low $3000's.

Where have you placed the stop loss?

I adjust it based on market movement. Since we've made $3880, SL is now at $4201.

If price goes above $4100 again, based on market movement I suggest you adjust it at low $5000's.

I covered at $3840. Re-shorting this pop here. I don't hold my trades very long.

You must be crazy to short this market. I have seen countless of people blow up their accounts.

Bitcoin price hit a major long term Fibonacci extension at $4400 and is correcting. What else did you expect:) We have not reached the top yet IMO and $5500 -$6000 is my next target. Worst case is we retreat to $3400 before next push up. Charts and reasoning explained in this article. Happy trading!

These aren't radio waves, these are satellite signals

how do you think these magic "satellite signals" work?   smh

I thought he was talking about radio waves off of towers.
Apparently they are using existing satellites and you need an antenna that connects to a pc. I'm sure it's a matter of time before they gain access to smartphones.

Shorting on margin is suicide, he is probably playing with a few hundred or thousand and will panic buy back at a loss of btc.

Seems clever to me.
We all waited for this correction, here it is.
Why not profit from it ?

On another subject, now I hope BTC will stay above 4k so I can go snooze a little.

Yeah, they mention a satellite antenna and an inexpensive usb receiver. Also mention SDR (software defined radio).

Following is a list of all the hardware required:

45cm Ku Band Satellite Dish (antenna)
PLL LNB (linear polarization) w/ < = 200khz LO stability
    LNB Power Supply
    LNB Mounting Bracket
    Software Defined Radio interface
    Cables, Connectors, and Mounting Hardware

This sounds awesome.

Nicely done. Any bitcoin under $4000 / €3400 is a cheap coin.

So I think I'm feeling ready to make the move to accept bitcoin as an advertised method of payment in my jewelry business. I've been toying with the idea and suggesting it to customers for awhile now for the reaction.  In July, about 70% had heard of it, 1% had some but wouldn't use it, and around 30% who had heard of it said "not for me".  This week I noticed a much broader interest in bitcoin from my customers which turned into short conversations and several eavesdroppers approached me later to ask more about it.

My customers are largely middle and upper middle class.
I have a 17 day show starting this week and I've already printed the sign. BTCitcoin Accepted Here!

I've wanted to do the same thing. I own an electrical business but hardly anyone knows what bitcoin is where I live.

Well done to you.

I think that is awesome! We need more local merchant acceptance. Just seeing the acceptance signs will start to change public perception of bitcoin. Perhaps you can even offer to help customers with setting up their bitcoin account and wallet.

I'm sure it's a matter of time before they gain access to smartphones.

The problem there is uplink.  Your phone can hear satellites all day long, as it does with GPS (also radio) but you need both a real antenna, and a power budget that is not coming from a phone, to be heard by the bird.

Sorry I jumped your case, I was arguing with someone just the other day that insisted that their smartphone was not a "radio"

yeah, they need to flesh this out better...right now I smell

Agreed. That said.... for sending a single TX one could use SMS/MMS as an uplink. TX's are small.

I'm not sure I want to set wallets up for customers, I'm usually very busy but I'm thinking to offer a discount of 10% if they use bitcoin. More incentive! And yes, just seeing the sign will have a big impact even if I don't have any btc transactions.  I'm a little bit nervous to have the sign knowing it will likely lead to lots of conversations during my sales time.

maybe print out a card with some links, then you can politely say "yes, it is the payment method of the future, but I don't have time to bring you up to speed on it right now, please check out these links and do your own diligence...it is your money.
