Just back home. Bought the dip again ($3610USD).

This time the atm fee was -3.4%. They actually paid me to buy their coins. Amazing.  Shocked

Still got some fiat free, enough for a couple more dips. Gotta free up some more cash tomorrow.

This is obviously a great buying opportunity.

Bought myself another dip to .... where Will it go from here another dip to be expected ? Roll Eyes
Or Just another uptrend....?

why those questions are so repetitive? ... NOBODY KNOWS, play it as you feel it Smiley

Jimbo, really interested to know which company is running this and if it is a 2-way (buy btc or sell and get fiat)?

We had a proposition back in the day that you could run a network of these BTM things without ever having to manually load/extract fiat. This would greatly reduce labour costs, what was needed was an algo that could use dynamic pricing/fees that would incentivise people to buy in some areas of the network and sell in other parts so it was overall balanced fiat-wise ... if a guy was savvy enough he could use a fast motorbike or scooter and run around pulling fiat out in some BTM locations and stuffing it back in others and make a bit of cash/btc out of it. Essentially guys like this would be incentivised to do the labour of people going around loading/unloading fiat from the BTMs ... of course the btc can be shifted around by the network algo.

Isn't this just the same as having slightly higher fees throughout and then paying someone to load btms?
In fact, if you had someone loading btms based on incentives then they would cherry pick the best returns and you may find that some machines wouldn't get serviced at all.

At this rate it could be very soon that they surpass BTC in number of blocks and start shilling with the argument of "the longest chain blah blah":

There have been 2546 blocks mined since the hard fork.
(473 blocks behind the original chain)

They are catching up, and if they pass bitcoin in the number of blocks, then so fucking what?

Their difficulty has become so low that they could start mining a block a minute the next 24 hours, no?

We are at the stage of two separate coins and not at any kind of coin in which the chains will be merged.

How the fuck would you merge more than 3 weeks of blocks, including 2546 blocks (x2), as you mentioned.. it is not going to happen... or what would be a snowballs chance in hell, no?

so it is not just the mining but the community of developers.  Is the community going to want to recognize BCH as the "one and only?"   Again, seems pretty fucking unlikely that you are going to get community adoption beyond a kind of smoke and mirrors miner fuck fest, right?

So, I might get issued some BCH as late as January 2018 (according to coinbase) (when BCH is worth .01BTC?  who knows?)

lol this is almost a favor they are doing you...  would you risk getting left behind even its just a 0.1% chance of a "flippening", just hodl it...
and altho BCH/BTC might drop, BCH has a very good chance at gaining $$ value. its pretty good shit....

You could be correct that BCH could gain dollar value - but wouldn't the more relevant question be how it does as compared to BTC?  Through its lifetime, it has largely been between about .05BTC to .25BTC --- so Yeah, if it can maintain its value in that range, then thak you very much to coinbase for forcing me to HODL my BCH.

I have a total of three hostage HODLs of my BCH... Bitstamp, Gemini and Bitstamp.. and the total forced HODLing would be about 8% of my total potentially issued-BCH.  Trickle me the BCH, so I can SODL it rather than HODL it... hahahahaha   Cheesy Cheesy

this move... its expected... i mean i saw it coming ( didnt sell THAT much but i did sell some... ) its "upgrade might be bumpy, PLUS there this BCH mining is profitable thing, so let do some hedging", type thing.
I wouldn't worry much about it.

if things go well we're looking at 10-15K BTC IMO

In what timeframe?
You're still talking about this year?
To be honest I think the NYA, 2x guys will hinder us to see that kind of prices the next few months at least due to endless FUD.
And if the really fork, it needs to be seen what the whole thing and situation will develop into.
Right now imo we are trying to find a solid support. Hopefully around 3500 after some wilder up and down swings coming the next days.

Great  Grin Kraken didint execute my stop loss order haha. Undecided

They just announced that they are going to disable advanced orders for a couple of months. Only standard orders can be placed now.
But in the same email they also said that standing "advanced" orders (including stop orders) would be executed. Only new ones can't be entered anymore. For what's worth...

So this time bitcoin core is trying to fork?

I you're talking about Segwit 2X then no.

Core has wanted Segwit for years. Now it's going to happen, but instead of people accepting Segwit (which they refused for years) they accepted Segwit2X = Segwit + 2MB blocks. The Segwit part is a tested piece of code (could still have bugs though), the 2X is untested, not made by Core, and Core is firmly against it.

Core has wanted Segwit for years as I said, and promoted it. When it will activate, clearly that will not be a fork. If another piece of software rejects Segwit blocks, that would be a fork. Later if a Segwit2X piece of software is deployed then that's another fork.

I had stopped trading (for unrelated reasons) and now that I'm placing a few orders, it's so horribly slow, it's beyond belief. Sometimes the thing will turn and turn and error out after 2 minutes ! The only explanation I can see is that there are a lot of bots placing countless orders and straining the whole thing.
