Now that segwit has been activated does anyone know if those of us with a ledger nano s need to do anything to start using the new segwit addresses?
If so, how does one go about generating the addresses?

Literally got this few minutes ago in my email from Ledger:

https://blog.ledger.co/ledger-releases-segregated-witness-support-f1712f69e99c
Thanks for that.
Rather spooky that you just got the mail just as I ask the question.
Such is the speed of the digital age :-)
On a side note, if anyone is receiving the byteball airdrops then the transition bot doesn't work with the new segwit addresses, at least not yet. Not sure if there are any plans to incorporate this in the future though.

Had a dream last night that I woke up and saw my bitcoin price ticker up over $400,000 and rising quickly. Saw it touch $500,000 as it came "crashing" back down to the high $300k range.

With such high numbers I couldn't even think of how much money that meant I had...just that I was fucking rich. Then I woke up  Cry

You know you're rich when you have no clue how much money you have Wink

Well I'm at the point it is uncomfortable enough..that I'm going back to thinking about it as 'monopoly money' and it eventually will go 'tulips'

( I mean we are talking ME right.....my timing is never correct)

thus less stressful...I will revisit this notion when the monopoly money hits say 5k or so ...until then I'm using my deception powers on myself

to assume a 33% correction on BTC and ALT prices sometime before Jan 1st.....

(pessimist's are pleasently surprised when they are wrong, optimists are disappointed)

Gotta keep the 'glee' in check in some manner...so I will use repression/denial/and FUD myself....

besides..giggling all the time at these prices could have landed me in a rubber room

(denial...the only way to cope at this time...its is soooooooo pretty) Smiley

It is embarrassing to be a grown man and watch btc skyrocket and feel like below all the time..thus I must gain control of myself thru self-induced FUD.

shi*t ..just giggled again looking at the price...damn it!

Here it comes! Just another leg up on the path to $5000. Wouldn't be too bad if we stopped here today, either. A few coins are selling but ATH is definitely possible.

Many users and some exchanges (I'm looking at you Coinbase) have chosen to ignore BCH. As a result, their tokens are locked up, and the real supply for BCH is less than a million split tokens (and the real market cap is less than a billion dollars).
By ignoring this threat to the network you are essentially complicit in the attack. Fortunately, any user can sell off BCH tokens and dampen the attack at any time. Right now they are worth $600 each. For a little effort, you can help push down the price, and therefore the hash oscillations of the current attack.

Ok, so my account yefi got hacked 2017-08-19. I'm a little shocked at this as my p/w was a random 9 digit code with a special character. It was also unique to this site. Anyway, please ignore anything my lobotomised impostor now writes, thank you.

Have anyone made a comparison between the initial BCH blockchain and current one to see exactly how many addresses/BTC have been moved since fork? I mean moved from the original addresses, not counting subsequent tx's.

I would be really interested in knowing that data.

There are a few airdrops that require a seasoned btt account to participate (Deep onion being one of them). This might be one of the reasons accounts are getting hacked/hijacked?
