The only difference between genius and insanity is usefulness. So, crazy.
he is also the author of BFGMiner, pretty useful Luke Jr may be a crazy mofo on a stick, but if anyone is willing to die for bitcoin, I think it's him. I do remember him trying to blacklist and ban SatoshiDice's spam tx when he was the head of Eligius. Luke Jr was also the only one speaking out against the removal of Coin Age Priority in the recent Core 0.15 release, thinking that it's foolish to remove an additional defense against spam attack. So I do think that he has bitcoin's best interest at heart, even if a bit misguided. I do believe that the worst from govt and banks is still yet to come. So we do need fanatics like him, even if most of his proposals are out of touch with reality.

These are the lunatics we need.

Always love the Jimbo updates. I'm going to come and have a beer with you one day Jim. I'll be rich, you'll be richer.
Thanx. Actually as long as we both have our friends, family and health, we're already both rich. A nice bag full of bitcoins helps though. Money may not buy everything but what it doesn't buy comes easier if you have lots of money. Agreed that it is probably not healthy to worship money... however, it is a good thing to have options, and money can bring more options - even the difference between having $10k in the bank (or $10k worth of bitcoins) versus $100k, can be a decent cushion of a difference. I am sure that there are a few guys here (and gal) that are considering much bigger numbers in terms of their personal BTC related holdings because in the past two years, bitcoin has gone from being about $250 to about $5,700, and maybe many of us were conservative in our expectations of upside (just to protect ourselves psychologically in case the upside had not happened) and kind of expecting a kind of value that is in the range of a stable $1,000 to be reasonable. Yeah of course, few of us likely considered that bitcoin would be exactly stable, but if we are looking at a currently apparent stable of $5k or higher, even a not to unreasonable expectation of a stable range in the $10k territory, at some point in the coming years, then we are 5x to 10x above our reasonable expectations of upside and we reasonably are going to have a lot more options than we thought we were likely to have in the same time frame - so long as we had enough foresight and gumption to NOT sell too many of our coins as the price has been going up... I am getting to the point where I have sold about 10% of my coins.. but even after having had sold about 10% of my coins, having 90% of my expected coins is still pretty comfortable for me, and in my system, even if the price shoots to $20k, I probably would still have close to 80% of my coins - at least that is what my projected excel chart says based on my current holdings and my current projections.

18000 thousand pages ?
Can bitcoin marketcap get bigger than all the energy producers combined?
what's the estimate energy consumption of btc network now (and global crypto)?
edit: I just missed it...
I can remember the battle for 10,000 pages. For some reason it was deeply bothering someone and they were deleting masses of posts to stop it from happening. I assume their autistic spazfest fizzled out or they simply couldn't hold back the tide any longer. And we will soon nudge $6000 by the looks of things.

$18000!!!!!!!
Edit: damn, only pages
Maybe in spring $18K. But I see comments being deleted, and if you want comments to remain on 18.000, then you need 18.001+.

. As another user mentioned in this thread, it would take 30 years for each person on the planet to open and close a lightning channel. And although maybe bitcoin will never use it all, eventually 1MB will not cater.
In the interest of accuracy, 30 years for every human to make one on chain transaction. This could be opening a channel, or it could be closing a channel. If you want everyone to be able to both open and close a channel, you are looking at 60 years. Well, S2X could drop this down to 30. Go S2X! /s

the only Dev I know who wants small blocks (actually he wants a reduction in size to 300k) is Luke-jr.
This should automatically render any opinion he has about Bitcoin moot, and his opinions should be utterly disregarded. The guy is arguably one the fruitier cakes in Bitcoin-Land. And this is coming from me; probably the fruitiest cake on these forums... In other words....... trust me..... I am amongst the most of fruitiest of cakes, and therefore, I would recognize a fruitcake if I were to see one. hahahahaha That's why I come to this thread, nearly daily, to receive edumacation about the self-identification of fruitcakes.

I need your help or advice, bittrex is blocking members account I immediately removed all my funds from bittrex, but what other exchange can I use?
I need some exchange that is not equal to poloniex, bittrex or yobit.
I need a professional exchange, that answer support tickets.
what about Bitfinex and Bitstamp? He will probably have to wait for some blockchain based exchange ICO. But meanwhile.... everyone else waiting to post on Page number 18.000 (18K). first! edit: how long till the btc price overtakes our page count? I don't think that could be possible. Or if it has a cap, someone will probably change it from the source code. Seem to be good chances of happening in less than 5 years, and even better chances to happen in less than 10 years... call me conservative.
