anyway, my 'rationalization' on HODL

What I would dump at the first chance given is my B2X coins, bitgold, and any other BTC forks that comes along.
I just need a safe way to do it.

I just need a safe way to do it.

Try this?

1. Move coins to an address you control pre-fork.
2. Wait for fork.
3. After the fork, move BTC coins to another address you control. This is the time you apply any opt-in replay protection, or if there is none, just do it anyway.
4. Move your fork coins to another fork coin address. You should be able to do this unless it got replayed on the fork chain, in which case you move that to another address.
5. It's possible you may have to repeat 3 and 4 until one or the other chain doesn't recognize the transaction anymore or the coins are split into different addresses.

The time between 3 and 4 should be right after each other, so before you do that you should already have the fork client wallet running and synchronized with the fork chain.

It's safe because you control all private keys at all points in time, even without replay protection.

What I've learned with Bitcoin so far.

Store your keys securely.
Buy forget rinse and repeat! Buy forget rinse and repeat!
Store your keys securely.
Don't rely on exchanges too much.
Don't tell anybody you have bitcoin, tell them you have eth (always pretend something else).
Buy forget rinse and repeat!

W T F   is that guys? Out of all the videos, only the first one was bearable (this one: https://youtu.be/hXRhIXp4idM), thanks to the pretty girls... How is it possible that people fall for this sh*t?

Damn!
Go to any bar, you will see what stupid things people do for pretty girls.

Trick is these guys are not aiming those ads at you, they are aiming them at people far dumber than you.

Meantime bitcoin seems stuck at 7200-ish, but Litecoin may finally be doing something. Quiet day....

Sounds good, thanks. But for 4. I will need the proper wallet for the forked coins.

Price hovering around $7000. Good entry point, almost 10% down from ATH. I'm waiting for lower lows. With the imminent uncertainty I'm sure we'll get some more buying opportunities.  Cool

So you want bitcoinunlimited to replace it and the core?

well, name me a coin that is

completely private (hides transactions, amounts, adresses etc.)
this includes fungibility
no transaction malleability
adaptive blocksize
faster difficulty adjustment
is asic proof
has inflation

... Kiss

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Still consolidating after yesterday's correction/profit-taking... currently $7054USD/$9027CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

AltCash also down a bit at $612USD/$780CAD (Coinmarketcap).

It looks like it doesn't want to go below $7k for long though. Is this a new bottom, at least until the fork?
