Well this little show didn't last long, unless this is just an intermission.

Dropped a grand in anticipation, then started off with a bang, jumping back up a grand.

Now it seems we're right back where we started... the standard $15k. Talk about really quick, a premature ejaculation. Wham, bam, thank you ma'am.

Maybe there's more to come, but so far this has been underwhelming.

And, it seems quite likely that there are going to be a lot of folks have their come to Jesus moment at an even higher price point.

I've been thinking about this as well. I mean, after a futures market and eventual ETFs, what other "legitimacy event" do the Average Joes of the world need? What else is it going to take for them to wake up start taking Bitcoin seriously?

I'm guessing what they need is all the world's MSM websites, financial experts, Nobel prize winning economists, Warren Buffett, Jamie Dimon, and maybe even Prof. Bitcorn himself to tell the people that Bitcoin is "A-Ok" and they should get invested.

What people think BOA patent news means: mass adoption of crypto

What it actually means: Cease and desist orders to all existing crypto exchanges, and either no use of the patent or use for proprietary bank coins

Ah, you're a wee ray of sunshine.

I know nothing about patents. How is it possible that something that's been operating for years across the world thousands of times over can suddenly be restricted like this when they had nothing to do with its creation?

Can I patent KFC or Taylor Swift and fire them?

The reason is that when you are a Tera Beara (aka Tera Bera), then you are in the business of spreading FUD, trolling, which largely constitutes nonsense and distractions.

No big deal, I'm not really all that much into popcorn anyway. Besides, the popcorn's just a figure of speech.

What I'm really chowing down to right now is a lovely 16 ounce wagyu striploin with baked potato, asparagus tips, parsnips, and sweet potato. And a glass of red, just a cheap french vin de table but nice nonetheless.

$45/lb for the wagyu but what the hell, I made a pisspot of money this week.

Good food is a good investment. Friends and health are far more valuable than money and good food is one of the cornerstones of good health. There is no healthier food than high quality meat.

The only way for them to build massive liquidity in XBT Futures is to buy LOTS of bitcoin. Which is like shoving the contents of Lake Superior through a backyard water hose. It will take them years of pumping.

You can now buy a Bitcoin in the future. But you can't have that Bitcoin in the future. And there's a premium. What's not to love?

Anyone ever get the feeling that this is a little too easy? I mean, buy and hold is so simple and makes so much money. Doesn't seem right somehow that we can get rich by just waiting for the world to catch up to us. Not complaining, but it's weird.

Kind of, except it really wasn't that easy having to hold all the way through the great bear run of 2015/6. I see this as our reward for having to go through that.

That is so right. I went through all lows, getting ridiculed by every single family member. I will forgive, but not forget. Or was it the other way around ?

Either way, i managed to get my girlfriend of 30 years on board, by forcing her, god forgive me, but it was a good move. You won´t believe what she said up to here. But she´s my number one. Anyway. She can´t escape my love.

Don´t we get rewarded sometimes, and deserve it ?

I am not sure if that would be a good thing or not. It could be interpreted as a bullish signal if it trips it on a pump on the first day.... or it could be considered as "too much volatility" to be taken seriously. It will happen soon anyways, maybe just not today.

Btw, is a 20% on the gemini price what is considered or the price of the futures themselves? I mean.... if the futures are for january'18 a flash pump/dump shouldn't affect it that much. A much smaller constant growth/decline over a few days on the other hand.....

Hey, anyone is playing with that CBOE thing? I started registering, but got bored at second form with all that profiling questions. I laughed on the fact that 100+ trades A YEAR is the higher option on the question about expected activity.

it seems he knows exactly what he's getting into. he's not happy about it, but if you read between the lines, it looks like some of his "larger" clients demand the ability to trade this, and they are not upset about being limited to long orders only...

*edit* - Keep in mind, there is no limit on the supply of fiat. There is a very limited amount of bitcoin available...

This is the second time I've heard him say that "long term Bitcoin will be zero". I can't even process how he came to that conclusion, since Bitcoin has seemingly been non-zero (and climbing) for 8 years now WITHOUT a futures market.
